I took a peek at the Ok. State wrestling wrestling forum on Rivals - their fans are bunch of whiners just like their coach.

Saw some comments on a national forum where a big OSU fan admitted Suriano deserved the win since Fix showed no intention of scoring and hung out along the edges. Also, Fix stopped wrestling in an attempt to sell a foul. This fan did not like that...

It was called a stalemate because Nick was able to get into a tripod (off his knees) and turned a riding situation into a stalemate call... It was a quicker call as it was in the rideout period.. (which you see quicker stalemate calls)

Did the OSU coach have a challenge to use or was the potential fingers under the headgear a violation that is automatically reviewed?

It was an officials review, but Smith was bullying the refs the entire match so I'm sure he influenced them.
