GAME 16 Illinois: Illini made the plays

I see complaints about the moving screen. It’s a point of emphasis. Illinois picked up the exact same foul. Does it suck yea but they were consistent. Myles lost his composure after he thought he was fouled and had a really unconscionable reach there. I thought they bailed Illinois out a couple of times but overall I didn’t think the refs did a terrible job. It was mostly us allowing penetration at the end coupled with some bad possessions

I think the reason people are upset about that last foul call on Myles is because there were a bunch of things not called on Illinois. The one that sticks out to me, is when their guard Feliz, drove around the top of the key for an easy layup, Johnson was being cleared out of the lane. Not sure which Illinois player it was, but he was clearly backing Johnson out. That should definitely have been called as it led to an easy basket in a key moment.

That was Georgi doing his best impression of an Offensive Tackle. He took out three guys on that “block.”

This game was decided by Myles inability to stay out of foul trouble as predicted. We still almost won but if Myles was out there we would have won this game. We struggled to rebound without him

Agree 100%. 3 bad fouls and plays 13 minutes.

The worst was the frustration foul on the guard that kept him out 10+ minutes of the second half. Don't know how you do that after sitting most of the first half already and knowing the team needs you out there - even if you just ran into a wall against Cockburn on the other end. Just can't do that.
