This is one of those games where you ask yourself ..,
Will UMD get more TDs than RU first downs?
Will RU get more penalty yards than yards?
2 first downs in a half … I know it’s the B1G, but come on we should be better than that even by accident.

Losing the guys we’re losing next year how exactly are we supposed to go bowling? Holy moly man… Maryland isn’t even a good team, we just take suck to another level
These games are often crazy. Could easily go the other way in second half in my opinion...

Hobbs didn’t want him initially. When the fanbase uproared is when Hobbs obviously had interest to save his job
Gleeson was absolutely “part” of the problem. Was not the only problem. There won’t be development on that side of the ball until Schiano gives up his micromanaging ways. Which more than likely won’t happen.

Exactly. Hobbs was shamed into hiring him back and now we're all paying. But hey, wait till next year, we might just win 5 games.
Jonathan Smith has won 7 and 8 (maybe 9) games in years 4 and 5 at Oregon State
Clawson at WF has gone to a bowl 6 out of 7 years (pandemic year they missed) with 7 and 8 wins those years and 1 year an 11 win season
Mike Elko at least 7 wins this year at Duke in year 1...they won 1 ACC game over the last 2 years
Lance Leipold 6 wins and a bowl in year 2 at Kansas, a team that averaged less than 3 wins for over a decade
WSU has made a bowl in 7 out of 8 years iirc(pandemic year missed) and that's including after a controversy over vaccination with their last coach that led to the firing of some staff in season, they had 8, 9, 11 win season in there too with Leach and Dickert currently has a 7 win season
ISU is struggling this year and Matt Campbell was a hot coach for a time but before this year they made 5 straight bowls with 7-9 wins for 5 straight years

Leach is doing respectably at Miss State...7-8 wins the last 2 years.....Mullen, 2 coaches ago had some really solid or better results there too
In some of these examples you can't say they're consistent yet because enough time hasn't passed. Point is you can get some sort of respectable results and if you happen to have the right guy possibly consistent respectable results. I don't lose hope at all seeing what's happening around CFB. If anything I have more hope than ever, whether it's GS or someone else doesn't matter. You just keep trying.

Well, there aren’t too many Meyers out there right now. There are really only 2, maybe a couple more, coaches who could instantly overcome RUFB’s national perception among recruits.
It’s not like it’s easy for ordinary coaches to do or we’d have done it already.
Seems to me the only different thing NC is doing is the stupid langan sweep that loses yards every time. The rest is the same.

I say it here often, if we're winning you can find the fun. If we're losing you can find the fun, usually wisecracks and comments in these kind of threads give me a chuckle. I'm not going to be too down over stuff and look for ways to smile and laugh as best I can.
