One really significant upset today

Big Ten

None

Other RU opponents

South Alabama 73 Louisiana Monroe 39 – Lewis had 18 and 11 for the Jaguars
North Carolina Central 58 Coppin State 44 – getting hard to imagine the Golden Eagles winning a game
Iona 70 Niagara 58 – middle quarters did the Purple Eagles in
Harvard 68 Brown 53 – score seems about right
Southern 70 Grambling 51 - ditto

Other ranked teams

#2 Baylor 54 Kansas 40 – I would’ve expected Baylor to drop 80 or 90 on the Jayhawks
St. Mary’s 70 #11 Gonzaga 60 – a huge upset and a terrible loss for the Bulldogs*

*The Bulldogs have been huge beneficiaries of how poll voting works because they hadn’t lost since they got ranked. They could drop 10 spots for this.

Also – pretty good number of OT games, but no double OTs

Presbyterian 82 Longwood 77 OT – Compton had 32 and 10 for the Blue Hose
Northern Illinois 92 Bowling Green 87 OT – doesn’t look like much defense was played here
American 67 Army 62 OT – Eagles came back to tie and then dominated OT
Florida Atlantic 64 Florida International 61 OT – close pretty much the whole way
Eastern Illinois 67 Morehead State 62 OT – Pace led the Panthers with 25 and 6
Norfolk State 65 Delaware State 57 OT – pretty big game in the MEAC
New Mexico 74 Wyoming 71 OT – close all the way
Seattle 82 Utah Valley 80 OT – Redhawks came back from down 10 at the half
Oklahoma State 60 West Virginia 57 – ‘Eers have lost 6 of 7 and gone from ranked to unlikely to make the NCAAs
Princeton 77 Columbia 55 – Tigers go to 5-0 in the Ivy

There were no palindromic scores in 116 games on Saturday. There have been 29 palindromic scores in 3,902 games so far this season. It’s been nine numbing days since the last palindromic score.

Just finished watching unranked, pretty poor Syracuse team smack Jeff Walz, and his #5 L'ville team lose 59-51. Walz was clearly seen saying the "F" towards refs during a TO near end of game. Such a pity, not.
