UMass is bleeding cash because they can't get football funding off the ground and the reason(s), Dooley and now the Winthrop coach backed out, is because they advertised within the agent circles, that they would be willing to pay at a certain level and then were provided an offer on paper that was less than advertised.....needless to say, they are in hopes of convincing the coach to accept less.
Duquesne is offering less than 600K for their position.....schools like Quinnipiac are offering much more than that amount, in a smaller conference.....would not be shocked to see a specific BE assistant land the Quinnipiac job very soon.
