But a predictable response among certain individuals who are intolerant of viewpoints other than their own. Even though our nation was formed from people who, among other things, wished to escape such intolerance.

And hated paying taxes and didn’t want to be told what to do.

So, uh, not much has changed.

Exactly how am I being “unhinged?”
For being patriotic?

It was just a spur of the moment thing. I just couldn’t believe that she not only was using the wrong hand, but that it was nowhere near her heart, and I decided to start a thread about it. My bad. She’s probably a wonderful young lady, and she has a fantastic voice, not taking that away from her.
I’m sure when you fly your American you follow all the protocols specifically as dictated.

I have no doubt that’s true. Otherwise you could be accused of being “unpatriotic.”😉

I live in an apartment building, so I can't fly my own flag, but if I owed my own single-family home I absolutely, without question, would follow protocol. Thanks!

*** I've even reached out to a Hoboken bar which clearly has the American flag flying improperly (The Croatian flying higher) but they don't seem to give 2 shits

“§8. Respect for flag

No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.

………

(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker's desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.

(e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.

………

(g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.

………..

(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.

(j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.”

Imagine the kind of unpatriotic ignoramuses that support this university, which has no care for the US flag code.

PS this is my favorite helmet.
Sometimes we make mistakes and put the wrong hand in the wrong place 🤷‍♂️

Isn't the OP friendly with the other poster here that likes to curse during the national anthem?

Seriously, there are likely more than 20,000 Americans whose heart is on the right side, not the left.
Agree everyone’s heart is in the middle of their chest?

The largest chamber just protrudes to the left side.

Or cases of dextrocardia largest chamber protrudes to the right?

Let’s be safe and pledge with our hands over our sternum?

Why would that be a "horror?" Odd comment. 2nd one as such in this thread.
Here is a 3rd. I heard the singer was a furry and requested a litter box. Indiana University complied and had a litter box with white and red stripes available if needed.

@Richie O as this thread was NEVER begun to be, nor intended to continue on as, "political" - as a few posters seem to think (1 on multiple occasions now) - would you mind locking it? Thank you.

Cmon man. What was the potential outcome of the thread? There was a more than 0 chance that everyone didn’t just give it a thumbs up or respond in agreement.
