GS is surely changing the perception of his program..

I just did you just didn’t like the answer. For some reason you have thinner skin than a 7 year old by throwing a temper tantrum that a player talked a little trash…. He wasn’t wrong either! All the guy said was they didn’t need him bc ‘it’s Rutgers’. They won 37-0…. He was correct of every front.

As far as ‘well spoken’, yea as a black man I know what that means when used to describe a black man… clearly you don’t

We signed up for big boy football when we joined the big 10. This comes with the territory. But if you really need an actual video evidence of a player doing this, I present you one of the greatest players in NBA history, LARRY BIRD.

So essentially you like to take shit from other teams, players and coaches. Got it.....you sound like a soft human being. Tough talk about what Rutgers should do on this board but agree with fans of other teams, no donations and little support except whining constantly on an anonymous message board. You're nothing but a whiney little limped dick paper tiger. Enjoy....since you love trash talking so much.....I can go at it forever....lets see who really is soft.

when Rutgers joined the Big East, it was Suck City
But gradually improved after Greg1 took over and became a respectable part of BE Town
I expect RU will leave the B1G's poor side of the tracks and move into a nice residential B1G district by the 5th year of Greg2
Show your proof of work.
A major drop off in Recruiting next season ( last in the B1G) , No talent gains in the Transfer Portal as of now, No back up plan for QB, and an OL that resembles an FCS OL at best.
Love how you Schiano Apologizes always pushes it out by 2 years. We go 3-9 next season and it will be “wait until 2025”. LMAO

Only at Rutgers…. Only at Rutgers do we have fans so wrapped up in 2006 that they refuse to look at what’s happening now. I said this 3 years ago, the love affair with Greg will divide the fanbase. Greg schiano is a dogsh*t football coach in todays game. Never in the history of football have I seen a coach make so many excuses during his press conferences. He shows no accountability, and 3 years in is still blaming what he inherited despite the roster being essentially completely turned over.

Only at Rutgers do we have fans who worship a man robbing the university of $32 million
If it sucks next year I’ll agree

If it sucks next year I’ll agree

His weekly narrative will be, ‘but we played them tough in the first half and we’ll keep choppin!’

I think 4 wins is the ceiling, 3 more likely and 2 wouldn’t shock me.

Not sure what's more shocking.. the fact that half of our fanbase still believes in the coaching sham that is Schiano, or that Schiano isn't self-aware enough to understand how much of his career has involved failure, and that he still keeps trying the same things repeatedly.

Can't wait til next year when our season peaks after a blowout win vs Wagner and half the fanbase once again beats their chests proclaiming GS their savior.

Or when GS spends more time coaching our punter during games than any other position player.

Or when he's taking notes on the sidelines while down by 50 pts and his teams makes the same exact mistakes the next week.

Clown coach

Do I like taking shit? Not really, but at the same token do I enjoy talking shit? Without question! It’s half my brother and I’s text to each other is straight shit talking (he’s a giants fan, I’m cowboys). Shit talking is a part of sports and has been for decades…

I guess no one told you that when you start using personal attacks you lose a debate…. I’ll remind u, YOU LOST!

You calling me soft is laughable… you’re straight up Butthurt that a wr from Maryland said his team didn’t need him to win because ‘it’s Rutgers’. He followed up saying ‘sorry Rutgers’ in a light hearted way. It was a jab sure but no different than what we’ve experienced before. Want another example? Remember Bill Belton psu’s old rb who was from jersey and was heavily recruited by Rutgers, when asked about Rutgers he responded he chose psu because he ‘wanted to play big time football’.

Soft is getting your panties bundled over a receiver speaking FACTS. We got blown the hell off the field by them, they have every right to talk! You keep crying about it

show work? just look at Rutgers football record when it joined the Big East. is one .
As for recruiting dropoff it happens and if development is good, the dropoff in talent coming in is offset by developing the talent that arrives.

As for the trolls & haters, Rome wasn't built in a day and year three of a massive rebuild should not be taken as proof of failure, but proof there far more needed to do to get a winner on the field.
Year two shown that type of improvement, year 3 a step backwards but not one that can't be changed into forward movement again.

Love the way a positive outlook make the negative spreaders upset .

If you think our rebuild justifiably needs to take take longer than other programs, you’re totally lost and that’s a loser’s perspective. What’s happening is, and Schiano knows it too, is his reputation re: offense is black plague-level and no one with other FCS O player or OC opportunities will come anywhere near here.

He’s stealing salary and he knows it. Hobbs knows it. The program ain’t any better off than with Ash now.

And yes, going backward snowballs.

Negative? How about dealing in reality.
You said Greg will have us in the better half of the B1G in his 5th year. That’s season after next. Delusional.
Again show your proof of work. Where are the Recruits for the future? What is the plan for our bottom ranked offense in all of P5 CFB? WR talent for next year ? OL talent for next year? QB plans?
To his credit Greg did move us out of the laughingstock conversation in CFB 17 years ago. Ever win the BE? No. Greg 1.0 Record against winning teams in P5 ? Below .500.
And Year 2 “improvement “ in the B1G ? The last 4 losses in the 2021 season Rutgers was outscored 158-19. Progress? And now you are claiming Greg will turn us into a winning B1G program ?
You’re continuation of throwing rose pedals to Greg is beyond comical.

Let me know how many make public statements trash talking the other team after a game? How many of them get on a microphone and trash the other team in a post game press conference? How many trash another team during a public or charity event? That's the equivalent of what the Maryland kid did. Not surprisingly you don't get it because you are tone deaf.
FYI, yessir321 is a PSU fan who enjoys coming here and trolling Rutgers fans. Just thought you should know who you are dealing with here.

I have consistently been a Schiano fan. But it bothers me to have been shut out by Minnesota, 31-0, and Maryland, 37-0. I can take being trampled by Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State, but not by non-elite teams like these. What evidence is there to indicate that this is going to end?

What bothers me more is the excuses he makes during press conferences. He offers no accountability, only excuses. He legitimately brought up ‘what he inherited’ in his Maryland press conference at the end of year 3…. How we still have fans with this utopian mindset of ‘everything is fine, Greg’s here!’ Is besides me.. I’m frankly tired of getting our teeth kicked in by the non traditional powers in this conference

Exactly. Been saying this for 18 months while being pelted with every insult in the book. Yet no one offers a reasonable counterargument. Schiano is a below average coach, and is poor in many important areas. The overwhelming amount of historical evidence shows this. It's beyond belief the majority of our fans even thought this guy was mediocre when he was hired based on his career resume, coaching blunders, arrogant personality and self-righteousness after losses.

It doesn't bother me more . . but it does bother me. I know he's older (so am I, of course), but he seems to me to lack energy in his press conferences. In addition, I did *not* like his blaming the Penn State blowout on a call (yes, it was probably incorrect) in the second quarter that was followed by a Penn State run of 41 straight points. If the bad call deflated us that much, then there is something wrong with how he is motivating the team. And I did *not* like his response to those who criticized his decision to sit on the ball at the end of the first half of a close game. I know he can't say "I just don't trust our two minute offense," but ihe has to do better than pretending we had the ball close to our goal line when we had it on the 25 with three time outs left. (Sorry to vent!)

Don’t get me started on the 2 minute drill in a game we wound up losing by 6…. Indefensible at this level of football.

I’ going into next season with no expectations other than wishfully hoping to be wrong on schiano, and I can assure you if that happens I’ll be front and center to take all the heat for all the crap I’ve given Greg since he was hired back… we have to go bowling next year though…

only bowling Schiano will do next year will be at the local alley. he’ll talk about 4 wins being a great year for his ‘team of overachievers’ and other loser spin.

The schedule is easier next year -- it is more than reasonable to expect a 6-6 record. But let's not be too pessimistic. A lot of Eagles fans thought two years ago that Jalen Hurts would never be a good NFL QB --maybe Gavin can develop a lot, too.

Easier schedules is how Schiano racked up a lot of wins the first time around. But the mediocrity of most of his teams, save one, was always showed up by his inability to beat really good teams, something his fans always overlook.

Easier ? Betcha the teams who get to play us next year are saying the same thing.
Northwestern, Temple, Wagner, Virginia Tech, and Indiana all should be wins. Next year Michigan State and Maryland are here, and that should help. Iowa and Wisconsin are stretches but possible. We're all entitled to be disappointed if we can't win six games next year.

Rutgers Sam is a Sadexcuse troll disguised as a RU fan

Schiano has built a nice defense but Gleeson was a dud. This OC hire is going to determine whether he's successful or not.

Teams like KSU, TCU show us that you can be successful in a system without elite recruits.

If we had an average offense this year we're bowling.

What's sad is how much you hate Rutgers vs how much you love your pal Schiano.
Dude, I go as hard as anyone at schiano but yet it’s obvious you aren’t a fan of Rutgers…. Sure I give Greg a lot of grief bc I have no faith in him, you take it beyond and attack the program…. Just shut up! It’s clear you aren’t s fan of the program and simply are trying to stir the pot with every one of your posts

Do you remember the other important ingredient to Jalen’s success? Year 1 he didn’t have a defined offensive coordinator which is SUCH a Greg Schiano move if you think about it. After his rookie year they actually brought in a coach to work with him, Steichen..

We’ve had 3 months now to find an OC

That's an excellent point. The OC, by the way, is Shane Steichen, who came to the Eagles with extensive experience. https://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/team/coaches-roster/shane-steichen
