Shifting back to Hafley - it appears he still has a believer in Palm. He still projects BC going to a bowl game.
I think he gets another year. As others have said not sure BC has the appetite to buy out his contract.Shifting back to Hafley - it appears he still has a believer in Palm. He still projects BC going to a bowl game.
Agree with you. I recall after the Maryland win they interviewed him the locker room and he was like really love the kids, love the school, love the fans but this ain’t what I signed up for.Didn’t say anything about him not loving NJ. Heard the same. If the head man put in equal work, and gave him autonomy over the offense he would have stayed. Why do you think the remote consultant role Friedgen agreed to never materialized? There were stipulations to the agreement that weren’t met. His choice to fill role as OC wasn't chosen and he did not want to work with Flood and McDaniels
I posted this information pretty much real time when Friedgen didn't re up his contract. so haven't wavered on this one. My information was unsolicited and source has been rock solid with nuggets about RU UMD and B1G info. So I’ll stick with what Ive heard.

The Hafley effect is officially dead on this boardLouisville 56
BC 28.
Remember when "our" fans blame Greg when the score got run up on Rutgers because he is a DC at heart? Not a peep on Hafley, who is flailing at BC. His team is second to last in team defense giving up 35.5 points per game.56 points with the Cards completely shutting it down with 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter

Hats off !!Congrats to Hafley! He's reeled off 3 wins in a row against Virginia, Army and now Georgia Tech.
4-3 on the season with:
UConn, Syracuse, VTech, Pitt and Miami left on the schedule.
Looks like he has found his QB. BC is a tough place to win. Maybe Hafley turns the corner this year?He might bring the ill eagles to a bowl this year.
BC fans are hoping that and BC's schedule makes bowling look like it will happen.
Kudo's to Jeff
on the home front, with today's win
RU fans can complain about the possible bowl RU will go to because
Schiano's program is bowl eligible now after beating the Hoosiers
Man the ACC is such a joke.Congrats to Hafley! He's reeled off 3 wins in a row against Virginia, Army and now Georgia Tech.

Shoot me for saying it, but I sometimes wish we were in the ACC for football. So much easier sledding. Had we joined the ACC, Miami, BC, Syracuse, Virginia and Pitt would have left.Man the ACC is such a joke.
If that conference wasn’t about to disband , it would have been better for us for football. . Competitively, rivalries and closer road games.Shoot me for saying it, but I sometimes wish we were in the ACC for football. So much easier sledding. Agreed. If that conference wasn’t about to disband , it would have been better for us for football. . Competitively, rivalries and closer road games.
But obviously if we are going to continue to play semipro sports - we are in the best place we can be considering the landscape
Man.. BC folk seemed suicidal early season. Glad Hafley is turning it around... but still hope we beat em for recruits. But if they get em over Syracuse.. good for them.Congrats to Hafley! He's reeled off 3 wins in a row against Virginia, Army and now Georgia Tech.

Halfey vs Schiano at Yankee stadium !Hats off!
BC 16
Pitt 24
Congrats to Hafley as one of Pitt's 3 wins this year!
So impressive!
The worst team GS lost to is Wisconsin. The one mutual opponent we have blew out BC and was blown out by RU.
OP's curse of being wrong about everything strikes again!
unless a Rambling Wreck arrivesHalfey vs Schiano at Yankee stadium !
It doesn’t get any bette than that
Please give us GT for the love of God. If we have to go to Yankee Stadium, at least give us an opponent we haven't played recently or in a bowl before.unless a Rambling Wreck arrives
Good news is we can leave at halftimeHalfey vs Schiano at Yankee stadium !

99% they are going to FenwayI am not going to read the entire thread but congrats to Hafley on a great year getting to a bowl. The loss to Pitt was not good, but amazing turnaround after last season & losing his QB. I am sure we will see them again in the Pinstripe Bowl.
They'll end 6-6 as they don't have a prayer in the world of beating Miami.Thats a mighty suspicious 6 wins. Barely beat army, holy cross, and a bunch of other bad teams. I don’t know what you do with that if you’re the higher ups.
I'd let him go if it were up to me.Thats a mighty suspicious 6 wins. Barely beat army, holy cross, and a bunch of other bad teams. I don’t know what you do with that if you’re the higher ups.
We had a suspicious 5-6 year in 1998. A one point win over Richmond was one of the highlights . Other wins over temple, Pittsburgh, navy and army. Mulcahy gave Shea an extensionThats a mighty suspicious 6 wins. Barely beat army, holy cross, and a bunch of other bad teams. I don’t know what you do with that if you’re the higher ups.
Yes. There is a bowl at Fenway. That’s where they will end upfenway?
