You know what, you're right on the GM thing. Here at Rutgers, we're using for only for what I described above in my post. But at Stanford they made the GM the head of the entire football program and he just fired their coach. Cal boosters are threatening if Ron Rivera (new GM) doesn't get entire oversight they will withhold donations. That is a bit of a blanket statement. I’m sure the role can vary from school to school. But GMs for programs that have them and ADs alike are absolutely involved in raising money. A big reason for having them is to help coaches who all they do these days is recruit and fund raise, get back to coaching
Like a cheap date quickly gone sour...WTH??Heard Gilman is going back to PSU
When I shit pickles it is always Vlasic.C'mon, c'mon man...... get it right. TWO Suriano level guys.
The bigger question is, Vlasic or Mt. Olive? Kosher or Bread & Butter?
Richie Figueroa he will go 133 for Oklahoma stWho is Figs?
I guess they aren’t high on SakamotoRichie Figueroa he will go 133 for Oklahoma st
Wifie should try a move to the east coast. Maybe she would like the Jersey shore and Gilman can look at a local college to coach at...like Rutgers.Sounds like it's his wives decision. She's from PA. That was the background story for leaving Iowa as well. Sounds like a dumb move to me.
I hear ya, signing his brother to SKWC is the only connection.this seems unlikely.
Which is a pretty big connection. Not likely, but still going to keep an eye on it.I hear ya, signing his brother to SKWC is the only connection.
Fair warning Elam is beat up physically from 5/6 years of college wrestling and weight cutting and looked like a guy with a bad case of HEW the last season he competed. 197 has a few younger less accomplished guys that would probably be a better fit still in the portalROcky would be a huge addition at 197
Disagree...A little dramatic?Fair warning Elam is beat up physically from 5/6 years of college wrestling and weight cutting and looked like a guy with a bad case of HEW the last season he competed. 197 has a few younger less accomplished guys that would probably be a better fit still in the portal
If Elam is planning on wrestling heavyweight his last season though I think it would be worth it for y’all ,not too many high end heavyweight transfers available right now
Good for him! Norman is a very nice place to go to school.Brian Soldano to Oklahoma
Neves, looks like he transferred to ChattanoogaI hope it’s the Blair Heavyweight at Ohio State
Something doesn’t make sense there…Nieves was a monster recruit out of Blair.Neves, looks like he transferred to Chattanooga
I would hope we have a bigger fish in pipeline then.Something doesn’t make sense there…Nieves was a monster recruit out of Blair.
Don’t know the reason but there’s not a ton of guys who come out of Blair that particularly well in college. There are some exceptions but it’s mostly a ton of underwhelming former top recruits. Even the ones that do pan out don’t reach their hype level.Something doesn’t make sense there…Nieves was a monster recruit out of Blair.
Some wrestlers can't handle the Big 10 or 12.Something doesn’t make sense there…Nieves was a monster recruit out of Blair.
Blair’s past recruits used to hit more.. legends like Mocco, Russell, McKenna, Perry, Kolodzik to name a few.Don’t know the reason but there’s not a ton of guys who come out of Blair that particularly well in college. There are some exceptions but it’s mostly a ton of underwhelming former top recruits. Even the ones that do pan out don’t reach their hype level.
Idk about all that …This past ncaa tournament Blair had more qualifers (10) then any other high school, the next closest had 6 qualifers and that’s with Neves in redshirt and AA TJ Stewart falling off a cliff this year…they had 3 AAs plus 3 others lose in the Blood Round… they also had McGowan almost beat Robinson Thursday night before he blew it at the end , and Norman was ranked top 5/10 all year and almost knocked off O’Toole Thursday nightDon’t know the reason but there’s not a ton of guys who come out of Blair that particularly well in college. There are some exceptions but it’s mostly a ton of underwhelming former top recruits. Even the ones that do pan out don’t reach their hype level.
Headed back to Utah then?Sounds like it's his wives decision.
