Yeah, yeah, I know I'm going to get a half dozen 'I don't care, they're in the rear view mirror' comments, but dammit it's college football on Thursday night and it's a quality game.

Tied up 7-all near the end of the first quarter.

Cincy has always been by envy. If we could play on the field like they do we'd already be where we want to be - at or above Iowa psu Nebraska Wisconsin and on par with MSU.

They're good, but I'm pretty sure they're not above Iowa/Nebraska/Wisconsin. PSU, yeah.

Cincy's defense is lights out. Exactly why I'm disappointed Ash can't land any unheralded Ohio HS players...Cincy's roster is chock full of them.

Can't? Where does this come from? Has he been striking out that you know of? It seems that he's putting together a pretty darn good class of respected NJ kids along with highly regarded out of staters so far.

Don't bother. Just enjoy the beach full of locals and the warm ocean temperatures--I mean frigid ocean temperatures.

Should have been a 'couldn't' rather than can't. I had hoped he would've landed some Ohioans in his first class.

My point was our program and inherent advantages combined with cincy' on field performance would be ahead of those teams.
Ah, I see what you're saying. We'll have to agree to disagree. I think our only advantage is now being part of the B1G. Otherwise, they have all the advantages. They have institutional support and they have more depth of local talent.

I'm encouraged when I watch Houston play because I know that's the offense we're trying to emulate. Now we need the talent to make it happen.

Houston will be exposed in the air at some point. Somebody will spread them out. Cincy not even a strong passing team anymore and they made plenty of plays.

Watched until just after the beginning of 2nd half. Was waiting for Houston to break out. They did but I wasn't watching. They are a very good team. We'll get there soon.

Except for Duke Catalon, their playmakers are all 2 and 3 stars:
Greg Ward Jr.- lightly recruited 3 star, only other offer was Memphis-at 5'11", too short to be a QB.
Mulbah Car- 3 Sstar
Linnell Bonner--cant find any info on rivals or 247
Chance Allen-3 star
Howard Wilson- 2 star
Brandon Wilson-lightly recruited 3 star

Since 1980 we are 9-9-1 vs Cinci with a whopping scoring advantage of 22-21. I get your point about Ohio talent but NJ has a lot of talent too.
