Rutgers loses to Purdue in a nail biter, but I can’t complain about the effort and play.

Geo Baker has his coming out party and was relatively unstoppable.

Corey Sanders continued to have an all-tournament first team effort with another 20+ points.

Rutgers dominated the offensive glass, and therefore second chance points.

It just wasn’t meant to be tonight. A missed FT and offensive charge by Corey took the wind out.

Here’s what went wrong. Geo and Corey essentially had to do everything by themselves tonight. Don’t get me wrong, that hustle and effort and whatnot was there by the entire roster, but when it comes down to it we played 4 on 2 on offense. Purdue just had more guys that could take over. More talent.

We have zero inside game. That needs to change with recruiting. It is what it is right now.

The Edwards duo were just unstoppable. They weren’t getting open looks, we’re shooting three feet behind the line, and sinking everything. If V. Edwards even has an average game, we win.

Pike has this ship righted. I can’t wait for the reinforcements to get here next year!
