68% from the line and 42% overall would you have bet big $ on Rutgers?

The stats are just mind-boggling. 44 rebounds last night and 16 total (we had 18 offensive last night!)
Mike Williams 1 shot and 1 rebound.
Corey not a single rebound.
Shaq, Eugene, Laurent 2 rebounds and 2 points on 2 total attempts.

Holy crap..what a lack of effort. So much for leaving it on the floor and going down fighting.

Deep breath..its over.

I don't think it was lack of effort as a team, though certain guys looked like they needed the season to end. I think we were tired and northwestern took the window we gave them in the first half to make sure they secured the first NCAA bid in program history.

31-0 run by NW was just unbelievable. I think we had 3 consecutive possessions where we turned it over on moving screen offensive fouls. Burn the game tape and get ready for next year! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Our lousy interior defense (NW was 21-30 on 2pt shots), coupled with our lousy interior offense (we were 13-34 on 2pt shots) was the difference in the game, along with them making 6 more foul shots.

The rebounding differential was due to us missing so many more shots.

Strong defense/rebounding is exhausting. Unless you can rotate in a full roster of well-rounded players who can play on both sides of the ball it must be hard to maintain. It will improve with solid recruiting. Enjoy the ride.

Left it in the court the night before tough to do 2 nights in a row when other team has fresh legs. If both teams had played the day before game would have been much closet or could have had different results either way it's a loss rest up and start working for next year and 20 wins

Again there is a reason Williams took one shot. i wish BK gave his opinion.

A lot of excuses here. We got out played and out coached. Let the recruiting game begin.

We are one of the all time worst shooting teams, amazing we won as many as we did

I didn't see the game last night as I was over in Brooklyn and frankly because daughter is a NW alum I was rooting for the Cats. The only team I root for in the Big Ten other than RU.

But TMCB is correct------you have to knock down shots and you need to hit your FT's or it's virtually impossible to win at this level.
