Indiana board “meltdown” threads remind me of us in Ash last year…total capitulation

Remember when Flood started out 7-0 and everyone was saying the team was responding to his relaxed approach as opposed to Schiano's hard disciplinarian approach.

I get that you like the guy and perhaps he is a good guy, but his dressing up actions don’t confound me. Flood simply put was simple. He could only speak in coach speak and cliches (his interviews were cringe worthy). He came across as a dum asss jock. The whole disguise fiasco underscores how inept his judgement was.

He was given the gift of the Big Ten, and he fumbled. He embarrassed us and our university so I have no empathy for him. Think about this, he coached here but he would never have been admitted here. I am glad he is long gone.

PS - if he was such a decent coach why is he one of the few Schiano left behind?

Most of the guys that coach here and play here wouldn’t be admitted here without football or basketball . I am not sure if you’re point. Different rules for different folks in this athletic game.

But flood was a dud and it was a tetribile hire and retained by another ex jock in pernetti . Now hobbs isn’t an ex jock and his hire and retaining of ash sucked too

I did not want to encourage anyone from going over there and start posting on their board. alot of us did not like it when trolls would come onto our board and clown us after a humiliating loss during the Ash heap years. I thought it better I post one humerous post from their board that kind of summed up their feelings, that ALL of us Rutgers fans can relate to.

I did find it and read through. While not as delusional as the Sarah board, there were plenty of great comments afoot. I have to say, they are witty in their disdain for the staff and current situation. I have zero animosity towards IU but I had to laugh and some of the comments.

Hazel perhaps. Was Durkin's W-L better than Ash? I honestly don't recall. Edsall wasn't as bad, he at least had a winning season.

Yes there were lots of funny ones but the one I posted in the original post was the funniest.

So after every game win, lose or tie, I always go visit the other teams free board if they have one. Anyhow I went over to the indiana free board and I swear it sounds like us in 2019. It’s just total capitulation over there and disgust. I am not writing this to bust on them in any way because we have been there recently during the Ash heap years.
I did get a chuckle out of this post from an Indiana fan: “Schiano peacocking around the Rutgers sideline like he was winning the dadgum Super Bowl was a real kick to the gut. Rutgers took a dump in a doggie bag, lit it on fire and rang the doorbell. What a joke this season has become.”
We can all relate to this guys frustration.
