Is it too late for MAJOR shakeup in rotation?

Acuff looks so incredibly slow though. Neither is ideal.
JWill actually brings energy to this team and is one of our only defensive stoppers.
acuff should get more minutes though and he should take everyone minute from JMike. JMike is not that good on defense and overvalued there by many.
I can’t imagine how bad Dortch must be not to get a single minute of play compared to the rest of the misfits.
I don’t think Dylan Grant has looked very good in limited time but at this point why not play both Those freshman.

If Dylan Grant can’t crack this lineup, and redshirting is no longer an option, it tells you all you need to know about him.
That’s my point, at some point do we just stay the course? Listen, these aren’t blowout loses and basically one possession wins it, but the rotation GOT them in that position.
Play Grant more? No, I say play the VETS MORE! Ride or die, let PJ fire away , get him OPEN. Acuff can SCORE, turn him loose.
unless theres a major shakeup in the offensive SCHEMES I am not sure personnel changes will do anyhting.
what do you notice about the role players taking shots: Dercack, Jwill and JMike versus those that dont: Hayes, Martini and (apparently hobbled) Acuff ? the ones taking shots can create their own while Hayes, Martini and (hobbled) Acuff need to be set up to score. and this offense does none of that. so not sure how personnel changes would change anything.

Would agree too much selfish driving , if not for refs bailing out Jordan, he would be on the bench. I agree… run the picks to free up shooters. Acuff is not hobbled anymore unless you know something we don’t
I would rather we just play these guys and give them more run. It’s also showing other potential portal players they won’t get run here.
We are overvaluing JMikes Defense and it’s not any better than Acuff. I rather have the offense out there at this point.
I agree though that the XnOs need to change and I’m afraid we don’t adjust for shit. So sad
there is a reason i said "apparently" hobbled. he clearly was early in the season but now he doesnt even pay enough to know LOL. I am assuming he is still hobbled since I dont know how the 7th highest scorer in the country last year cant buy a shot on this team unless hes still injured.

Why was Martni playing today? Oh because he went to Princeton.
Ogbole looked good and was a presence in the paint but Pike had to give Somerville’s his minutes.
RU was leading with Ogbole in game and could have help prevented unimpended PU guards scoring at the rim. He’s earning more minutes and coach needs to hurt someone’s feelings.

How bad was Acuffs injury? Bc no way he averaged 20 plus per game playing at his current speed, it’s like he’s playing with bricks in his sneakers. He can only catch and shoot
He was just a high usage guy on a bad MAC team. Can’t take much from that
Broken bone in foot. Looks healed hasn’t been up to “game speed” which in some ways is an indictment of training…. Stationary bike is his friend
Thanks for clarifying. It seems he’s fouling a lot, but maybe it’s the the horrible timing of them.
Acuff isn't very good. Forget about what he scored last year. The last two games you've seen JMike's value. In each game he's been on the court when we got the lead, and we lost the lead when he went out. The color guy commented on how valuable he was today. Outside of hitting a couple of threes Acuff gives you nothing and he can't cover anyone. Cut the rotation so Acuff and Martini are limited to garbage time.
Bingo on Martini - He plays 20 minutes and grabs 1 rebound !!! - Couldn't believe I saw him on the podium in the post game presser - does Pike think this is a rec league ?
Hayes makes 1 or 2 moves away from the ball on offense and then becomes a spectator, and Acuff is either hurt or just a bust
Agree on Ogbole, he has become more active and less foolish on the fouling and in 16 minutes puts up 5 points, 5 boards and 3 blocks
Shrink the rotation to 7, with Sommerville and Derkack coming off the bench.
Agree with everything here especially a 7 man rotation with LS and JD coming off the bench. I might even start Derkack and JMike together with LS and JWilliams coming off the bench.
