J Will

There is definitely a role for JMike on next year’s team and I really hope he stays. Playing 18 minutes/game he had the 2nd highest Assist/Turnover rate in the B1G at 3.44. (the only guy ahead of him played only 10 minutes/game). He started the season shooting poorly, but improved his shooting as the season progressed. Finished at 33.3% from three, 37% overall, and 65% on free throws. JMike obviously knows the system and is a steady/efficient player handling the ball and distributing. He does need to be more selective when driving to the hoop and getting amongst the trees. And he plays very good defense on the perimeter and on the press.

No problem if JMike stays in a 8-12 min role against the right matchup!

He averaged 1 assist with 2 elite scorers on the floor so I will take a pass on his analytic on assits to turnover ratio. Once again analytics showing why they are irrelevant and you can cut data after the result to tell any story you want. (Not directed at you but the analytics in general)

Did improve his shooting but he was left WIDE open all year as his man was the one used to double Ace and Dylan.

Love his fight and energy and would love him as an assistant coach one day. The reality is he would be better off playing at his level and transfer down.
