Isn't the biggest loss in terms of he wasn't a top 50-100 recruit but he is an instate kid who played for St Pats so this cant be good
Didn't we beat somebody else this year and the coach retired shortly after?
Still, 4-star point guards don't grow on trees. He should have no problem landing somewhere. The kid had a nice offer list last year.
The Tiny Morton class has had a great run under Coach Willard.
Oops I thought he was a 3-star

he quit because he didn't get in the game vs us. haha we literally beat them so bad that they have players quitting. Things are really falling apart over there. They're going to be gutted next year
Exactly. As much as we'd like to think that the SHU coaching staff is losing their grip on things, the fact is that there are always players who don't necessarily like to be coached. You just hope that your own team doesn't get one. I don't automatically think it's the coaches when I hear about a player's departure. Even Tom Savage said he made a mistake (due to his admitted immaturity) by leaving RU, despite having made it to the NFL."But Walker, who prior to Saturday had been sidelined for a month by torn ligaments in his hand, had been a handful for the Pirates’ coaching staff behind the scenes since he arrived on campus, according to multiple people familiar with the program’s inner workings."
No thanks.
You can build a winning Big East team around Powell and Cale. That’s a solid BE backcourt. Sounds like they didn’t try real hard to stop him.
im pretty sure they didnt want him to leave when hes the only true point guard on the roster and they now have 9 eligible players. what would happen if carrington tore his acl next game? You can build a winning Big East team around Powell and Cale. Neither one of those players is a Point Guard. I think they viewed Walker as their PG of the future, as he was supposed to be Carrington's understudy this year.
Make no mistake about it, this is a BIG loss for SHU.

they still need depth. it hurts your program when you lose 4 star talentI believe they have solid NJ PG recruit coming in next year
Was thinking the same thing. Publicly Embarrassed. That was funny

I find it funny you guys over here want him all of the sudden after the crap some of you said about him in one of the threads for the Seton Hall game, oh how perspectives change quickly when you want something.
What thread are you reading? I don’t see a single post saying we want this guyI find it funny you guys over here want him all of the sudden after the crap some of you said about him in one of the threads for the Seton Hall game, oh how perspectives change quickly when you want something.
Apparently, he may still be on the team.
Powell would be a stud elsewhere on a team without all those superheroes
Side note - how terrible did Delgado look with his back to the basket??? Does the guy score all of his points off put backs and layups?
Apparently ??
This is sounding like a guy upset that he did not play in the Rutgers rivalry game...made an emotional decision, thought about and then came to senses....back with his teammates.
