Yeah... you just broke this shit wide open. They're there to arrest Flood for being The Real Killer in the O.J. Simpson - Nicole Brown case.
Maybe they are there to arrest the rats in the university staff posing as "interested fans".
Strange...as she knew her appearance at practice and/or police presence around Hale Center would lead to inquiries from others.
Not sure what would be wrong with her stating "We are investigating this situation fully and when completed, we will release our findings and I'll be glad to discuss it with you then."
The reason she isn't saying anything likely is that there's nothing she can say that would help the situation - even a "we're investigating and I'll talk to you when it's over" would lead to speculation.
I really don't know why people think that there's something she can say before the investigation is over that will help. There isn't.

She can at least put to rest any doubt about who will coach our team in two days, no???
Just curious as to how people know about police presence and Julie. Aren't practices generally closed to the public. Once again too much information by people who should know better or get joy in leaking information. I've been to practices and on several occasions have seen Ken Ford who is part of the university police force with general assignment to football and athletics present. No big deal except in thr current climate can be magnified by those who may want to do that. And maybe Julie had an appointment scheduled with Kyle and had some extra time to take practice in and speak to the team. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Every writer at practice today tweeted this. Most have said they'd never seen a police presence at Rutgers practices.
Coupled that with the fact Hermann showed up shortly thereafter...writers had a sense something was going down.

What, exactly, is a large police presence? 3? 10? 20? One big fat cop?
Maybe she was just being nice to local cops in a #bluelivesmatter kind of way & letting them see practice?

Whenever Rugers has to hire it's next coach, it is going to have to severely over pay. No coach wants to deal with the drama that this school generates. If they are willing, it's going to take a lot. That place spends more time contriving ways to chop coaches off at the knees than it does trying to win. It's institutional.

So what if she's at practice. She's the AD, she can show up or not show up just like any other AD. It could be tacit support, who knows. Is that really a big deal? As for the police, who knows why they were there. Maybe it's just added security for security sake, maybe some sort of threat came up, again who knows.

Yah, I'd say I'm pretty serious about Rutgers football. Unfortunately, this is the big story from the day..just relaying information.
