Playing for the OKC blue, he is putting up solid numbers so far. Fills out the stat sheet with points, rebounds, and assists. He is finding his groove. Very happy for the kid who had to overcome a lot in his life.

The d league- just call it the o league. Night in and out scores are above 105.No defense!

I only saw him play one season. He wasn't a fan of Mike Rice. Thought a good coach could have got a lot more out of him. What facets did you like about his game?

Unselfishness and defense. Loved his 1st 3 years.

Bizarre what went down his senior year. Dane and Rice were definitely not on the same page. I am not sure concluding Rice wasn't a good coach because of what happened to miller are fair.

Definitely not fair. I remembered those two things too. Right now in the d league he is averaging 15 points a game and 5 rebounds. Still passing well.

FIrst thing I think about when I hear that name is his dunk versus Louisville, I believe his freshman year, one hand jam with his hand behind his head - Miller time!

Dane could have been much more than he was offensively at RU and I will always wonder why he didn't try to score more.

Seemed like he had a skill to pass that he also wanted to utilize.
Not knocking his ability to find the open man, only feel he didn't take advantage of when he was open as much as he could have.

He is all about defense, athleticism, and dunking. Had the guy developed a decent outside shot, he'd be that ideal 3 we've always been looking recently.

Loved him until January of his senior season. I try not to think about his last two months as a Scarlet Knight. No effort whatsoever. He would have been better off just quitting the team. Something went wrong, terribly wrong.

With that said, I wish him nothing but the best. Everyone goes through a rough patch. Unfortunately for Dane, it was at the end of his collegiate basketball career.

I remember his raw athleticism and strong defense. If he had a coach he connected with that could have refined his skillset and gotten him to add some elements to his game, he could have been really good - but that didn't happen.

After Dane's freshman year I thought we had a star but he never really got better, probably even regressed and never developed a solid jumper.

Which I think is largely on coaching. He came in with FHJ, who let him do his thing - which was great, but he really wasn't helping him develop a ton as a player. Then when FHJ got fired, Mike Rice came in and turned Miller right off - almost all of the video stuff that came out was from that first year. I don't think they ever saw eye to eye, and Miller's progress just stopped.

Similar scenario with JR Inman. Looked great his first year with Waters and showed a ton of promise, then FHJ did nothing to help him improve/progress as a player.

I hope Dane makes it to the NBA. I always loved watching him play.

I always thought he was a little too unselfish and would have loved to see him attack more and use his athleticism to get to the rim. He also never quite developed his mid range shot. Just imagine him attacking and then pulling up for a shot or taking it to the rim...depending on how the defense played him.

He had a put back verses Gtown off free throw miss...spectacular, might have been a game winner

Great defender, great leaper, good passer, couldn't shoot.

Many kept hoping that he would "develop" an outside shot. The kid worked on his outside shot for years, taking thousands of shots in the off-season. No help. Like most anything else, shooting is a talent. You have to have it in the first place. Dane didn't.
