According to ESPN, KJ Gray is already 6-2 and 189 lbs and running a 4.75 40.

Reminds me a lot of the legend himself, Mo Sanu...

I will be very interested in seeing how this kid develops when he comes to the BANKS!

Think you spelled BC wrong....there is no anks.........

4.75 ? not close to the legend's 4.43
Actually when I seen Gray's time, thought kid needs speed for WR or weight to be TE to be on the O.
Looks a little slow to me for a D-back as well.
I'm sure he's faster than that 4.75 you posted.

MADHAT1 there is no way Sanu ran a 4.43 coming out of high school.

And I posted the 4.75 40 time from ESPN.

And either way apparently it doesn't matter because supposedly he committed to BC (?!)

can't say , for a fact, if he did or didn't, but this said he did:

247 has Gray's 40 at 4.55
http://247sports.com/Player/KJ-Gray-71756

but other sites have the 4.75 you posted

Yeah I would be very surprised if he was running a 4.43 in high school, but now I get why you stated that 40 time based on that website.

According to this article he was laser timed in the 4.6 range at the NFL Combine and then in the 4.4 range hand timed at the Rutgers Pro Day.

Ha Steve addazzio runs the ball 50 times a game... I hope he enjoys blocking more than catching TDs

I think he wanted to come here but was caught in a numbers crunch. I read earlier this week he wanted to announce Thursday between UConn/BC but delayed and dropped UConn and added RU for this Sunday drama.BC is in a numbers crunch now too.

I feel like I fell into a time warp...then realized I hit the freeboard by accident.

Gray's 40 time is probably closer to the 4.75 than it is to 4.55.

He has very good hands. Runs solid, crisp routes. But he isn't a game breaker by any stretch. He is a solid possession receiver. He is the definition of what they call "crafty" in the league.

I don't think he would have seen the field here much, to be honest.

4.4 in high school is good but certainly not unheard of, there's a bunch of guys from Jersey who run that fast. Mo Jabbie probably runs a mid 4.5 right now based on his tape. Carroo probably ran a mid 4.5 in HS. There's a couple of speedsters every year though that do run legit 4.3's in HS

Most listed times are IMO pretty bogus...I think I read somewhere where Mo Sanu was a 4.67 Forty guy..I thought I was in the wind and I ran a 4.65 at 17 when i was in the Corps.Kids just can't be that much faster today??
