PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Redshirt freshman guard Kate Hill will transfer from the Rutgers women’s basketball team, it was announced on Thursday by head coach C. Vivian Stringer.
Hill averaged 1.6 points and 1.0 assists per game in her two seasons “On The Banks”. The Toronto, Ontario native appeared in 30 career contests and made seven starts. Hill’s freshman season in 2016-17 was cut short with a foot injury, as she made only eight appearances and three starts before being sidelined. As a sophomore, she took to the court in 22 contests, starting in four games, recording a career-high eight points in victories over Temple (Nov. 13) and Fairleigh Dickinson (Dec. 10).
“We want to thank Kate for her contribution the last two seasons and in helping the Scarlet Knights’ turnaround this past year,” said head coach C. Vivian Stringer. “We understand her wish to pursue other opportunities and wish Kate nothing but the best with her future.”
