Going to get ugly for Gard if Wisconsin misses the tournament.

Agreed. I'm sure there are the proverbial 3 sides to this story, but the optics are very bad for Gard. The Badger fan base is getting restless, as there has been a pretty big fall-off since Bo Ryan abruptly retired. I think this puts Gard officially on the hot seat. My family and friends who went to UW all hope he gets fired. He certainly has not energized the fan base.

Not sure what he "wanted" at Wisconsin. Gard has been coaching for in some capacity or another at Wisconsin since 2001 now all of a sudden he is uncaring...bollocks

It's rare that this many players on a team develop this much in a year. Freshman to Soph is the biggest jump, and we had 4 contributing sophs. Also credit to Pike. He can spot raw talent and develop it.

I looked at his recruiting profile.. mostly midwest teams.. perhaps he means Marquette is more to his liking. Or maybe some bigger name has been talking to him.. like EO here last year.. maybe he'll end up at Oregon.
