I'm sure he did but our RB commits de-committed. I bet Erb is on the phone with Lovett and other RB recruits ASAP.Did Zac Kuhr have any recruiting responsibilities? Seems like odd timing. When is LOI day?
How do u become a great recruiter??Two time Top 25 Recruiter and Special Teams coach as well...
LOL. I have no idea. I guess you must relate well to recruits and their families and get them to come to your school. How do u become a great recruiter??
Maybe he should call Tom Savage for advice, and that is no knock on Tom Savage. Or he could call Gio. He should hang in there and fight for reps and try to move up the depth chart.I was also looking at Iowa articles and came across this tidbit. C'est la vie.
C.J. Beathard is leaving, but freshman Nathan Stanley has long since been crowned the heir apparent. The bigger issue will be the remainder of the quarterback depth chart, where the players Stanley passed, particularly junior-to-be Tyler Wiegers, will be prime transfer targets. Redshirt freshmen Drew Cook and Ryan Boyle (who spent the year at wide receiver and didn't play, despite a complete lack of production among the other receivers) could also transfer for more playing time, but both players have the capability of moving to other positions and geographic (and, in the case of Cook, family) ties to the program.
Yes they played together. Lester (and Jay Butler) were frosh when we were seniors.http://www.nevadawolfpack.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/lester_erb_844102.html
Played Football at Bucknell, graduating in 1991. Greg Schiano graduated in 1988. Wonder if they know each other.
Some insight why he left Iowa to go to Nevada after many years with Ferentz:

Apparently a lot of posters went to bed early; they'll be happy in the AM!

See the links I posted above, from when he left Iowa and his bio. here:Hey Nuts (or anybody), any info on Erb's accomplishments?

Clear the way for Charlie Partridge, the ace recruiter of the State of Florida. Or just add him as the additional coach that will be allowed in the Spring. The staff upgrades have been fabulous this off season. Is Okruch not long for this world (which is not a bad thing if you ask me)?
You know it's interesting, from the Dunleavy piece in NJ.com, he says "Rutgers struggled mightily in nearly all facets of special teams last season, and it is Ash's philosophy that different assistants take charge of different units. Kuhr had kickoff return."Is Okruch not long for this world (which is not a bad thing if you ask me)?
Punting and kicking? :grimace:You know it's interesting, from the Dunleavy piece in NJ.com, he says "Rutgers struggled mightily in nearly all facets of special teams last season, and it is Ash's philosophy that different assistants take charge of different units. Kuhr had kickoff return."
So the first thing I thought, was well, if that's true, what the hell is Okruch's job?

Seemed like Drew was in charge of punting.

I would have understood if he had more patience but I'm glad he didn't. The experience on the offensive side of the ball was certainly lacking. Hopefully the choices make a big difference. The upgrade in experience with the addition of Kill and Erb is outstanding.
Kill 32 years of experience compared to 2 for Drew.
Erb 25 years of experience compared to 3 for Kuhr.
That's 52 additional years of collective experience on the offensive side of the ball.

From the linked article:
"Nevada was the only school in the nation with two running backs topping 1,000 rushing yards in 2015. That same season the Wolfpack also had arguably the best special teams in the Mountain West Conference, from kickoffs and punts to return yardage."
Yep. Same for Jerry Kill, who probably had the resume the be an OC at most P5 schools. It's also encouraging that someone with Erb's experience is willing to jump on the Ash train.
