At least for today is co hosting on Sirius with Mark Packer from 4-7. Also, Chris Carlin is hosting the Playbook from 1-4 on Sirius. Must be Rutgers day.
There's no doubtI think flood will be very good at this. Seriously.
Rick Neuheisel is my favorite as well. Could listen to that guy for hours. BTW, he interviewed for OC for us the year The Fridge got the job.
In that case, I'll be taking a dump between 4 and 7 today.
It is possible he interviewed for some jobs very quietly. He seemed like he wanted to stay in the immediate area, and aside from the way his previous job ended, that limits his options. Also, considering how his previous job ended, it is probably best for him to lay low for a while and let the dust settle.I just think it's interesting that, unless I'm mistaken, Kyle has been observing "radio silence" since the firing. As in, he hasn't done any interviews, hasn't interviewed for any positions, nothing. So, this might just be the first time he speaks in a public forum in 5 months. In which case, I am curious to know if anyone will ask him about being fired and why he did what he did, etc.
It's the smart thing to do. He cares about RU and the only way to come out and defend himself would be to try and throw others under the bus. It wouldn't be a good look.I just think it's interesting that, unless I'm mistaken, Kyle has been observing "radio silence" since the firing. He gets paid by us regardless.Good for him. I hope they sign him to a contract for the same amount that Rutgers owes him.
Nope. Dollar for dollar reduction unless he negotiated a buyout at termination. He gets paid by us regardless.
I think thats only if he goes into coaching.Nope. Dollar for dollar reduction unless he negotiated a buyout at termination.
ok. Was under the impression we had three coaches whose salary would not be offset. It was reported on another site I believe..Good newshttp://records.rutgers.edu/sites/records/files/Flood, Kyle 2-28-17.pdf
XVII.C (page 9)
Should Mr Flood, after he has been terminated by Rutgers, accept a position as a head coach or assistant coach in the NFL or college football, OR ANY OTHER EMPLOYMENT, Rutgers shall be entitled to offset the amount it owes to Mr Flood under this section XVII.C by income earned by Mr Flood in those positions.
Almost all of the comments here are positive. I think most fans realize what @LadyRU09 said above, and they wish him well.WILL YOU GUYS FREAKING STOP?!?!
I had a lot of problems with the way Kyle did things and ultimately these things hurt our football program...but the GUY bled Scarlet as an assistant and a head coach for 11 years here
He left the program on his final message to the players wishing nothing but success and wants the program to do well.
He will say NOTHING but good and objective things about us on the radio and will be good for our program if he succeeds...
PLEASE LET IT GO PEOPLE...its a new era....
That is one hell of an overreaction to a pretty positive thread.WILL YOU GUYS FREAKING STOP?!?!

If this is the case it will be great for Eastern Football and RutgersSounds like Arute is in pre-retirement and Carlin is going to be taking over eventually. I believe Carlin hosts Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Probably wrong, but "OR ANY OTHER EMPLOYMENT" might mean in a College or Pro football program.http://records.rutgers.edu/sites/records/files/Flood, Kyle 2-28-17.pdf
