A B1G job is already a destination job…I wouldn’t feel ND is any threat.
More money . Easier league . It’s friggen Notre dame and that matters to many people. Don’t know if it matters to pike.
And oh yeah more money.

he should run to Notre Dame...now that is an upgrade...sure the Gtown thing could have potential if he was able to actually win there but ND is the safer and probably more lucrative $$$ choice

I would love nothing more than for him to leave PSU. He's a good one.
ND is 9-10, 1-7 right now.
They’ve had one winning record in the ACC in the last seven seasons.
They suck. And so does Mike.
I am just saying if any historically solid program comes along and offfers pike or any other coach a ridiculous contract , that coach might consider it.
Brey announcing is exactly what CVS should have done two or 3 seasons ago that would have prevented a giant crater in the program

It would be good for us W/L wise for Shrewsburry to leave PSU, he is an outstanding coach with a solid NBA background. Maybe not so good for B1G strength if PSU has a substantial decline.

He seems solid with a strong ND background. As a fan would you be happy with that or would you like to see more of splash?

I have never been to South Bend. If it’s a vibrant college town it may not be that bad as you’re not too far from the big city with Chicago and Indy around. But Basking Ridge is a nice town and the surrounding areas are great. People who don’t know Jersey don’t know how great some of these areas are.

No I would hire Pitino although I doubt he would be interested . He would be my first phone call.

A new practice facility, renovated arena, good pay, ACC; seems pretty attractive to me.
Brey demonstrated that you can make deep NCAA tournament runs at ND.
Many have thought that Martin Ingelsby would likely be Brey's replacement. I think Micah Shrewsberry or Darian DeVries would be great hires for ND.
Shrewsbury is a good name. Porter Moser formerly of Loyola chicago is another.
Not this AD---------besides I don't think Pitino would be interested.
Shaka Smart would be my next choice but I don't think he would be interested either.
He has a better job at Marquette.
