NCAA Allocations...

I think Fongaro go the most potential outa this group
Ive always liked Cetta. He could definitely start on some D1 teams. But agree its one of those 2.

Amazing how DeSantis has passed ONeill. Saw match and not as close as score was. Al was so much quicker. ONeill is done

Not sure how many big 10 coaches really care about the region tournament. There’s maybe one or two elite recruits in each region at the most. Better off catching all of them at once in the state tournament in a week.
The B1G tourney is the same weekend as states, so all of our coaches will be in Michigan, instead of AC. Maybe they can go Thurs morning 🤷🏻‍♂️ but unlikely

Fair enough, I’m sure they’ll have access to film. My point was anyone who is big 10 caliber probably isn’t getting tested much at regions. Maybe in the finals but even then, probably not worth the time investment for a coach. Even the state tournament someone who projects to be a big 10 stater should be manhandling their opponents up until at least the quarters or semis.

I'd show up to some Regions, so the wrestlers that you're recruiting feel the love. Isn't that supposed to be the advantage of recruiting your home state the hardest, as you can pop in to a bunch of places fairly easily? It can only help. This idea that it's not worth the time because they're not wrestling in the state finals or against some other elite talent is silly.

A few years back Donnie was definitely at Region 2 at Bergen Community bc my son was wrestling and we spoke with him.

If Rutgers wrestling had nothing going on I completely agree. Goodale has even been at district tournaments in the past. But when the depth guys are wrestling in a college tournament, shouldn’t they also feel the love?

I know all of our coaches have attended District and Region tourneys in the past, and wouldn't be surprised if they were at some this year too. Regarding whether coaches should attend a college open tourney instead, they can't corner or coach an unattached wrestler (or at least they couldn't under the old unattached rules).

8 or 9 seeds are rough. Worst part of not performing during duels.

If pre-seeds hold, we finish 12th in the Big Ten Tourney, I think we will outperform our seeds and do much better than 12th. However, a 12th place finish indicates that major program changes are indicated.

Can’t see Turley beating Brands.. as Brands looks way too tough lately.. hoping Peterson just had a bad match against Brown as he looked much better since..
Brands has only scored 8 points or more in a match twice the entire season , his entire game plan is him pushing hoping to get a stall call or making someone take a bad shot so they don’t get hit for stalling , that works at carver but usually not in tournaments..Turley , injuries or not is alot more skilled than brands , if His gas tank holds up he can pick up the upset

I don’t think Turleys gas tank is as much of a problem as his strength and athleticism deteriorating since his injuries.

Just don’t see much chance of an upset here.. Brands is tough to score on and has a good gas tank.. Turley would need to catch him in a big move or go super Turley mode.

Seeing rumblings that Heinselman (OSU) is out for the post season so that would move Peterson up to #8 and would face #9 Jack Medley (MICH), who he beat 3-1 this year, assuming everything else holds.
