Like it it but Pat HAS done a very good job with our Olympic sports, already, as well as fundraising, Throw football and men’s hoops into the mix and we may all die happy men. Massive revenue is sitting out there for both sports (obviously more for FB). You get 6,500 season tickets sold and then you start have seat donations for the good 200s AND double or triple seat donations for 100s mid court

What is Hobbs good at? Certainly not managing the day-to-day athletic department. Fundraising? Well, now the donors hate his guts.

Despite his calling a press member "effing scum", Carino still sees Seton Hall guy Hobbs as good for basketball which is all Jerry cares about. I used to be a big fan of Jerry but he has such a blind spot for basketball to the point of being delusional. The Hobbs we have now is NOT good for basketball and Schiano isn't the great Satan that destroyed basketball at Rutgers either. Anything Jerry says about football needs to be taken with a pitcher of salt.

EXCEPT Football. LOL. All has been so lovely in the swimming and softball in his short tenure here unless you care about lawsuits and scandals. Great at media relations too. All you have to do is look at what has happened over the past two weeks to see what Schiano having a respectful relationship with the media can do.

Hobbs has lost the respect of a lot of people and has proven to be more concerned about his own ego than anything. When the AD's spin job has got Eric LeGrand questioning his commitment to Rutgers, writing opinion pieces and calling into talk shows, you know you've done a horrible job.

People keep referring to the same Hobbs was good at fundraising and Olympic sports as if nothing has changed. Softball scandal and swearing at reports. Total lack of control and poor decision making. He tried screwing the football coach. He didn't bring Greg's counter offer to the BOG, donors want him gone, fans, he did slimey slimey stuff smearing Schiano. He serves no purpose anymore despite some good things he's done in the past. It's clearly time to move on. It's a question of when not if
