125 McCabe - Is he the guy or will someone push him for his spot?
133 Giraldo - Lock correct?
141 Ashnault # 6 - Lock, but is there a chance he moves to a different weight?
149 Dippery # 29 - Theobald is the favorite or is there anyone else in play?
157 Lewis # 14 - Lock
165 Perrotti # 6 - Who replaces AP?
174 Bakuckas # 36 ???
184 Gravina # 18 - Lock, correct?
197 Hrymack # 37 ????
285 Smith # 11 ????

I follow RU wrestling and went to a match this season, but I don't know all the non starters and recruits coming in. Any help from our experts would be appreciated.

Too much in the air
Can Giraldo make 133?
I assume Ashnault is staying at 141
Can Theobold make 149 0r 157
Does Lewis Redshirt?
Where does DIppery backup?
Who makes 165?

etc...

125 McCabe --maybe he gets a push from Petrzell or Macall.
133. Giraldo-if he moves up then Delv. Not sure where he goes if he moves up. No room up top. Will touch on that in a min
141-IMO. Ash has to stay here. This is a perfect weight for him. I think he will take some lumps if he moved up.
149-Theo- same story for him. He can really be a top 10 guy at this weight as he has showed with some of his matches this year. He will be heathy and chomping at the bit.
157-Lewis-great shot to AA don't think he has a redshirt does he? I thought when u transfer u lose your shirt.
165- Vanbrill-Grello. Would love a redshirt from Grello
174- Bak
184 Gravina whith Pafumi back up
197. Ohio kid or Mulligan. Also would love a redshirt.
Hwt normadia-Correnti redshirts
I hear what everyone is saying about Giraldo but IMO if he moves up it will be a big step back for him. And if he stays at 33 Scotty D will be left out in the cold. I know team wise we prob won't be ranked to high and prob will be around17-25 area but still building. Again. This is just this fans opinion

Del is at 133 and Giraldo at 149 withTheo and Dippery. Doubt Lewis moves to 165 but stays at 157.

That's a shame that we will have 3 of our better guys at one weight. Theo I don't see giving up that spot.

Won't that be a pretty big leap in strength for Giraldo to go to 149? he seems skinny at 133.

He seems skinny at 133 because he has not eaten since the summer...Lol. He will be fine up at 149lb. He has a big frame and will be cutting to make 149.

i agree - once giraldo starts eating his natural portion, he'll get stronger - and maybe taller too.

Have to agree with GcarletGrapfan that he will be fine.

I was told from someone I consider to be a reliable source that he started the cut to 133 this year at over 149. I think he will compete for the starting job next year. Didn't say he was going to easily win the spot but I would expect him to right in the mix.

Illinois 165 pounder ranked between #4 - #7 in the county this season wrestled 141 last season.

This explains Giraldo's lack of offense & aggressiveness & being gassed early & often. He wrestled 140 for SKWC in a 2014 match & beat Jack 5-3 in OT.

Well if you guys are saying Giraldo and Theo at 149 next year that sucks. Because 1 of our Top guys will be working the video camera. If Giraldo wins the spot then boy what a waste of a redshirt for Theo. Could you imagine if he wrestled 149 forr us this year. Omg Okl-Minn-Wis are all wins for sure.

Theo could go to 157. Lewis has a redshirt he can take. Theo has already wrestled 157 in open tournys this year, with success.

I know what they could do but depending on how we finish up if Lewis AA's it's not like that is going to be a popular choice to sit.

I have to think either everyone bumps up, or more likely, Richie Lewis redshirts. There is no way Theo is not starting for us next year.

It will be equally interesting to see if they separate pafumi and gravina so both start next year and they can redshirt all of the incoming guys, or if they wrestle a true freshman at 197.

No matter what they do, we have some serious gaps in the lineup next year.
