No. 11 Wrestling At 2025 Big Ten Championships

Think we get 3-4* Yara a lock, Harer def good chance after Tumbley win.. choosing top made a diff.. some good guys at 174 but I’d be a little surprise if Turley doesn’t get one… I agree with u White got lowest shot but still wouldn’t shock if he made it in either.
Turley is in a tough spot..Norman from Stanford is definitely taking one of those wildcard so Turley is battling 5 guys for 3 spots ,
Nick Incontrera who Turley beat is 21-6 and has much better wins that Turley and beaten atleast 3 guys Turley lost too,
Myles Tatkis is 22-7 with a major Dec win over Simon Ruiz and wins over Whiting from minn, McGill from Columbia , teched Branson John for Maryland who beat Turley twice, Alex Cramer and MJ gaiten from Iowa state (Tatkis probably a lock for a bid)
Brody Conley from WVU 13-8 has bonus wins over MJ Gaiten and Jared simma…was 6 seed at big 12s but pulled at starocci and inj defaulted both matches (lost to Mike Wilson from rider in nov who also needs a bid) has been ranked higher then Turley all year
Lucas Uliano from app state 22-6 -teched lenny Wolak who beat Turley and also majored Sergio Desiante (who he lost to in conference finals to have bid stolen)

Mike Wilson rider 16-13 but has wins over Conley, MJ Gaitan, McGill, Lucas Condon and went 1-2 against Avery Bassett

Turley is 16-10 best wins are Incontrera , Branungal and Avery Bassett but has taken a lot of bad loses (Branson John 2x, Lenny Wolak and Walker from Michigan), Walker needs a WC too but is only 10-10 on the year so I think Turley has the edge

I would love to see Turley one last time especially given his high potential when he’s one but if the committee doesn’t put him in, it’s on him. He was not good in the big 10s plain and simple. Unfortunately his career has kind of gone downhill following a ton of injuries.

At the end of the day Turley has no one to blame but himself if he doesn't get in. Significantly underperformed at B10.

Just like in hoops. If you're a March Madness bubble team, you better not lose early in your conference tournament.

Ashame on Harer, felt like he was starting to wrestle better. How is Stampoulous the Alternate over him when he beat him.
Literally makes no sense.. Harer deserved one with his resume imo.. but that’s what could happen when we leave it up to chance…

I just don’t understand the staff’s decision to put him on bottom in the postseason.. when he only went top he did much better- reversing the results on Chumbley..

Harer's biggest issue was that he didn't have any big/signature wins over any AQs. He had multiple opportunities against the likes of Tyler Kasak, Ethen Miller (2x), Jude Swisher, Tommy Askey, Rafael Hipolito, and Ed Scott but went 0-7 unfortunately.

The first lost to Chumbley hurt him as as well as the loss against JT Chance (George Mason) at the Midlands. He wins those two and then he is sitting at 17-9 with a better RPI at worst vs 15-11.

He beat Illinois’s No. 22 Jason Kraisser twice and also .33 Stampo.. and Chumbley was ranked around 10 with latest loss to Harer.. thought he mighta had another win over a qualifier lvl guy too… meh… if Harer was as good neutral as he was good on top he would be a monster…

Unfortunately, Kraisser finished the year 10-10 and isn't a NQ. Stampoulos also isn't a NQ, only an alternate right now. Those rankings at the time don't matter much if the person doesn't stay highly rated the whole season. Chumbley is his only win vs. someone in the field (I believe) and he only got in via an at large selection. Since they split it doesn't do much for him plus Chumbley had a considerably better RPI and 3 wins over AQs, including Caleb Fish and Matt Bianchi.

Yea, I thought he might have a shot, but zero wins against auto qualifiers(they do not count at large selections as beating a qualifier) was the downfall.
