What a disaster, but I can't say I'm surprised anymore. Coming up small against tough opponents and in big situations is par for the course for this program and is the expectation/norm unfortunately

Goodale needs to go. This was embarrassing at epic levels. So our strategy in OT is to back up and not shoot all match. Im sick of seeing the same shit over and over. I want change.
all this ref talk...... Did Rutgers come to wrestle today? The answer is no.
Agreed. The refs were terrible but so were the majority of RU wrestlers and again, it seems to happy in every big match. No fire, no intensity, just surrender.

This is not a low point. It sucks to lose but be real. We lost to Indiana last year. That’s a low point.
We have been stale for years. This is our ceiling with Goodale. If we want to compete in the big ten we need a new coach. That’s the bottom line.
Goodale talks about winning these types of matches every year and every year we come up small. I think we’re done with the moral victories.

It really is a low point though. This was Rutgers one chance to beat a name brand wrestling program that was there for the taking this year and still couldn't get the job done. No sugar coating it with SV loses. They blew it.
This is Rutgers though. A lot of fans and admin are satisfied with mediocrity. Any talk of taking a program to the next level to compete with the big boys ruffles a lot of feathers.
We always fail when we got a “chance” at a name brand wrestling program.. last one was what 2016 against Nebraska? 8 years ago.. lol
