Some Rutgers fans will never be happy, Rutgers could go 15-0, National Champs, and still find a way to complain about it. It's exhausting reading the negativity and nitpicking on this board and during every game, every quarter, every play. I'm not concerned that they are 1-4 or not winning in a Covid year, the numbers are all positive and optimistic like Pike's first year and beyond(15-18, 15-19, 14-17). What this coaching staff has done in the last 11-12 months with 50-75% of Ash recruited players and 25-50% of Schiano recruited players and transfers from other programs is amazing. Ash bashers can say what they want but he did bring in good players to this team from 2017-2019 much more than Flood left Ash, Chris Ash had a way below average coaching staff and didn't know how to utilize players to their potential.

Last 4 years, pts scored in B1G

2019 51 pts in 9 B1G games (5.7)
Total 361 pts in 36 B1G games (10)

2020 148 pts in 5... FIVE B1G games (29.6)

QB numbers last 4 years (Full Season, 9 B1G games)

2016 QBs 159/332 48% 1659 yds 11TD 7 INT, 2-10
--12.4/26.6 47% 131.2 yds per game, 6 TD 5 INT, 0-9--
2017 QBs 135/275 49% 1387 yds 7TD 11 INT, 4-8
--9/20.3 44.3% 95.4 yds per game, 3 TD 7 INT, 3-6--
2018 QBs 171/350 49% 1589 yds 5TD 22 INT, 1-11
--13.2/28.2 47% 121 yds per game, 4 TD 17 INT, 0-9--
2019 QBs 154/278 55.4% 1672 yds 7TD 15 INT, 2-10
--10.4/21.2 49.2% 92 yds per game, 2 TD 12 INT, 0-9--
That is 30 TDs 55 INTs in 48 games, or 15 TD 41 INTs in 36 B1G games.

2020 QBs 124/191 64.9% 1159 yds 9 TD 8 INTs in 5 B1G games
--24.8/38.2 234.8 per game, Night and Day

QBs have passed for more TDs(9, 8 Vedral, 1 Langan) in FIVE GAMES than the last 3 full B1G season, 27 games, on pace to tie the amount the last 4 B1G seasons in one year. Gleeson, Underwood, Aurich, Campanile and Hoffman deserves tons of credit for how the offense transformed with supposed no to little "QB, TE, WR, OL" talent and good RB talent going into this season.

Schiano, Ash-- Transfer, Recruit, Walk on
QB Vedral (GS-Tr), Sitkowski(A-Re), Langan(A-Tr)
RB Pacheco (A-Re), Aa. Young (A-Re), Adams (A-Re)
WR Cruikshank (GS-Tr) Melton (A-Re), S. Jones(A-Re), Washington (A-Re), Woods (A-Re), Dremel (A-Wo)
TE Alaimo (A-Tr.), Haskins (GS-Tr.)
Starting OL-- Sutton (A-Re), Vretman (A-Re), Krimin (A-Re), Paillant(GS-Re), O'Neal(A-Re)

Enjoy the rest of the season and process

And I think we've found our quarterback.
I like Vedral a lot but imagine running this same offense with a more talented QB. Stronger arm, faster runner, more accurate. Also imagine a better OLine. They've improved a lot but leave a lot to be desired for running plays.

That's one exciting, explosive offense with multiple threats.

Thanks for the research and post. Reality and positive thinking - how refreshing. My guess is you have a real life outside of message boards.
