No Quarter for Delaware

Okay STRONG finish to the 3rd...NOW....let's pull away and shut them down in the 4th please! LET'S GO RU!!!

Wow, text book shot by Mullins after some great team work the other guys to free him up. Mazzone's IQ is off the charts.

Refs missed another one. Refs are at an all time low. I could see on TV that wasn't offsides. WTF are these guys looking at?!

BOOM!!!! Tommy the Kid is getting comfortable out there.

GREAT play by Michaeli.

My bad ... RU was up 7-4 when I turned it on and now losing 8-7. Team looking like crap. Hopefully they get chewed out and play like we know they can.
Turned it back on and see RU score to make it 13-9 ... looks like RU woke up! ... go KNIGHTS!!!!!!!

Work some clock and while looking for a good shot. No need to play fast here. Game manage.

No. Not like we did against Princeton. We turned if over and didn't manage it.

Great job in the 2nd half. We just seem to have "meltdown" periods each game, as evidenced in the 2nd quarter tonight, which is damn frustrating AND CAN NOT happen in B1G and post-season play, HOWEVER, I'll take "frustrating" any day if it gets us to Foxboro at the end of May!

LET'S GO RU!!!

Brilliant defense in the 2nd half. Brecht really put the clamps on UDel. Big one on Easter night vs Hopkins...both teams will be Top 10. Wish the game was on Easter Eve night instead as it would have had a lot bigger attendance numbers.

No really meltdown. Lacrosse is very much a game of runs. The faceoffs make it that way. We had more of them this game then they did, which is typical of us at home. There is just something about HPSS. We get into that flow state and it's lights out.

How do you think we match up vs Hopkins? It should be an awesome game between two elite teams on Easter night.

Looked it up...

Even on GB. Eh. Not a fan of those numbers.

Other than the score (which is the bottom line) the only other numbers we really came out on top is turnover differential and maybe shots.

As @Caliknight said, business like win. But I’ll admit I like some others really wanted a beatdown.

And the “no quarter” line is mine OP. But we’re cool.:sunglasses:

Yea, I was surprised to see that. I would say we won the second half gb battle. The eye popping number was we turned them over 17 times. That's a sign of our athleticism. We did the same to Syracuse.

Hopkins presents a different set of challenges. They are playing much faster this year and more free flowing, less scripted. Surprised to see their coach get there. He is old school, Tierney type guy. But if he can change, I guess Petro can too.

Max is going to need a big day. They have a bunch of snipers and at both levels. Our D is going to have to get in their gloves and not let them get their hands free.

Our faceoff situation needs to post up. They have a really good one. We need to play very physical with him. If he picks the ball up, make him feel it every time.

Their close D seems a little suspect as does their midfield D. It's a great time for Casey Rose to be getting hot. He is going to get opportunities, as will our other guys.

As usual, groundballs and turnovers. We do well in the first department, turn them over like we have done, I like our chances. We must finish our opportunities. I am not sold on their goalie. We are also at home. That's 18 out of 19 the last 3 years with the only loss being in triple OT to the eventual National Champion. There isn't a team in the country walking in there thinking, "yea, we got this". They are going to have to earn it.

JHU-RU will come down to one position. Hunter Moreland is winning 65% of FOs for Hopkins. RU will be throwing out Francisco (47%) or Schoen (50%).

Before yesterday’s games, JHU was #6 and RU was #43 in FO. Albany is insane - 79%.

Unfortunately, the PU loss isn’t great. It was on the road, so maybe it will hurt less.
