I thought he was awful this year. Hurt the team in numerous ways on both ends of the floor. Not saying anything about him as a person. I actually think the chemistry could be better next year with some length at guard and a true point if Sanders gets here. I guess the B10 grind was too much for KJ.

He may hurt the team in ways but from a numbers perspective he was pretty active scoring and on the boards the past 6 or so games.

I know what you're saying obviously though. I think he is lost on defense a lot. High turnovers unfortunately, too.

Nonetheless, congrats on graduating and staying through a bad situation. All the best to Kadeem Jack.

Same thing was said about JJ Moore, Eli Carter, and countless others before them. When all of your players have glaring deficiencies, it is always going to be possible to take a positive from seeing those deficiencies leave. The only problem is that the void is filled by another player with glaring deficiencies.

Until you get better players, the beat goes on.

I would've liked to see both K-Jack and Mack play with a legitimate high-major PG like we think we are getting in Sanders. For that reason I'm sorry these two loyal RU men couldn't stay another year. Unfortunately we fans had to suffer through yet another bad season without a natural playmaker at the most important position in college hoops.

Doesn't help the cause that he did not flourish here. He was pretty highly regarded coming out of HS and took a chance on us and the fact that it did not work out very well will make it more difficult to get another kid with his credentials to make such a leap. I realize having two coaches did not help and that he may just not have a natural feel for certain parts of the game, but the fact is EJ did not make him a materially better player and that is not good for us. Gotta show that you can coach em up!

that may be, but he also played top to bottom better competition this year. i can't imagine he did what ej asked him to do, like throw up turn around jumpers whilst triple teamed.

KJ selected Rutgers over Arkansas, Miami and Xavier but Duke and NC "showed interest"

I have to wonder how many times he questioned his choice. I am glad he chose Rutgers but he probably lost more games in any given RU season than he did in his HS career.

“I just felt like I should go to Rutgers,” Jack said during the interview with MSG Varsity. “Start from the ground up and maybe 50 years from now people will start saying Kadeem Jack was that guy that helped Rutgers back to glory.”
