Ilinois up 58-52 with 10:24 left in 2nd half. Lead has been between 4 and 10 the entire half, seems like one of those games where the team that’s behind just can’t get over the hump.

This is a key game for the first round bye, as Illinois holds a tiebreaker over us, so we need to finish one game ahead of them in the standings, as a tie goes to them.

Let’s go Cats!!

Now 64-52. Illinois just out-athleting NW and completely taking Pardun out of the game.

NW reminds me of Iowa in terms of lack of athleticism, except they don’t have nearly the number of offensive weapons.

NW dude just shot a three from the corner and the ball grazed off of the top corner side of the backboard.

It didn’t go in, in case you were wondering.

NW inbounded the ball with 27 seconds left down 5 and didn't get a shot up... Illinois eventually bailed them out with a foul at 12 seconds.

That was atrocious.

Wow.
Ill 33-38 Fts
NW 17-22 Fts
I saw about 1/2 of 2nd half including a terrible call on Law when Bezhanishvili clearly walked. About as one-sided an officiated game I can recall for the part of game I watched.

Boroski was the ref who called the three point foul on Doorson at the end of the game when the other ref that was standing there called nothing . Boroski was under the basket and basically showed the other ref up with that call . Murphy fully jumped into Shaq as well . Boroski loves to be the center of attention

At least now we know if we are the 11 seed we have a pretty sure win in the Big Ten Tournament

If our game vs Illinois is any indication.. they really foul a lot and aren't called for half of them. Lots of moving picks that somehow end up being fouls against the defense.

We lost to Northwestern and beat them by 3 with Eugene back. RU is the better team but there are no gimmes..

I'd almost rather play a team equal or better than RU in the first game. On such a great season, it would be such a downer to lose to NW (not saying that this would happen but this is the Rutgers fan in me that always worries that the worst will happen).

On the flip side, playing NW may be a good test for a team that is never expected to win to be put in a situation where they are the favorites
