On The Banks Article: You want patience Eddie?

One. And our best season was the year after Rice, btw. Why should that matter now?
Might have shown what Eddie could do with a few good players that stuck it out.
The next season wasn't as good.
But speaking of Rice who everyone thinks was so good, he never really did much better than Freddie did his last year and MR's best season was lead by Hill's players .
His second one was about the same and his meltdown year was another losing one.
Eddie might not be a good fit as a College HC ,but the two that came before him didn't help RU MBB in the least and going back before that , RU was coached by a fairly good one that had losing seasons in 2 of the 5 years ( every other year) he was the HC and not one NCAA appearances in those 5 years.
But in his defense, I must admit, he brought RU to the NIT the 3 years he did have a winning record and finished out his RU winning 4 more games than he lost, but has a .350 conference winning percentage.
Rutgers has been inept for so long, miracles ain't going to happen overnight.
But in no way will I even try to imply Eddie might make one happen , just saying he might
have had more put in-front of him to make RU look like it will improve during this season .
That's why I won't go crazy if he's retained , nor will I be upset if he's replaced.

Right, because the "problem" is the complaining on message boards and blogs, not a 26-game losing streak and record-setting losses.

One of the problems, which has grown considerably this year, is the disappearing fanbase. The number of available seats in the 100 section, very low overall attendance, even the drop in posters on this and other fan forums... I have friends who used to go to games with me fairly regularly who right now couldn't name three guys on the team. We've been moving from irrelevance at the national level to irrelevance within NJ to irrelevance within our own alumni base. It's not the growing number of people who are upset with the job Eddie Jordan is doing... but growing number of people who live within 50 miles of the RAC who couldn't name our coach or any of our players if given multiple guesses.

Whether it's EJ or someone else, that kind of inertia will be challenging to change.
