OSU fan privilege

Oh boo hoo. Ohio State has to play lowly Rutgers every year. Y'all so spoiled.

The guy certainly sounds like an entitled douche, but his suggestion for the B1G to adopt Premier League like tier based scheduling is somewhat intriguing. Unfortunately, it would only serve to amplify the disparity between the haves and the have nots.

Ever read the online opinions of Ohio State fans? They are entitled douches extraordinaire.

To be fair, he labels almost every Big Ten game as contributing to weakness of schedule. He'll get his wish when Ohio State has to play good USC and Oregon teams, potentially ruining NC dreams. If I recall correctly, a down Oregon team opened the season at OSU not too long ago and embarrassed them.

Is the guy wrong? It's comparable to our basketball fans who complain ab out playing a weak OOC schedule every year. RU does nothing for OSU. Well, they haven't until this year. This year, we shock the world.

Hey Joel - take the 3 people that read your blog and beat it. Basically anyone not in the top 25 is prob hurting OSUs SOS year over year. He named everyone in B1G but PSU/MICH/WISCO. Oh how nice it would be to reply to this jacka$$ if we beat them tomorrow.

Guy doesn't know how math works.

With a winning record, Rutgers contributes to strength of schedule.. especially if they win... they will have beaten a team that will have at least a .500 record by end of the regular season.

The guy is an idiot and I hope, for his sake, that his thought process is that if they don't look good against a good Rutgers team, win or lose, that the college football world will not give them any credit because of the Rutgers name... which is the same reason why Rutgers fans have largely been winning bets as we beat spreads almost every week.

Until Riley gets the defense fixed, I think they will have problems with higher quality B10 teams.

Oregon on the other hand, could be a handful for years to come. Lanning has built on the foundation of physicality that Cristobal started there but hasn't hindered the offense while doing so. Sometimes you'll see a drop in offense like we're seeing at OSU this year but Oregon has maintained that level of productivity this year. If Lanning can prove he can replace Nix, they will be a tough team. He just needs to stay out of his own way with game management decisions. They should be undefeated currently if not for that.

The paradigm will shift, regardless of whether there is an adjustment period for USC and Oregon. The Big Ten used to have one other bona fide Top 5, playoff contender each year in Michigan with PSU often just outside; now it will sometimes have 1 or even 2 more.

Not sure how this is comparable. RU needs to consider OOC in basketball for rankings being mostly on or near the bubble for the past several years.

OSU has not had that problem. Since 2014 OSU has won National Championship, won or tied the BIG East division almost every year, won the BIG Championship 5 Times and been in the college playoffs 5 or 6 times. Not sure why any OSU fan would be complaining about playing anyone on their schedule Over that term. The idiot blog writer will get his wish next year though. Lets see how they do.

So- here is the thing- this is the one year they won’t look past us…
