OT: 2022 NY Giants Season & Post Season Game Thread

Nah, I won't ignore you, but don't get all pissy pants when Giant fans in a Giants thread tell you to kick rocks.
Sorry, no "pissy pants" here, pretty much the other way around. Go back through the thread and check if you like. I always find it funny when posters tell you what and where to post.

Your post do smell like piss though.

I think it's time for you to start up an Eagles thread. You do have that privilege, have at it.

Is "pissy pants" something like a snit?

Don't worry, I'm done here. You Giants fans are a bit too sensitive for my liking. Enjoy the game Sunday.
Sensitive? People wanted to keep this a Giants thread, for 14 pages before you arrived it remained that way. People asked you to keep it on topic, you decided to throw a hissy fit and started degrading and name calling others.

You know how they say it only takes one to ruin it for everyone? Guess what, you've become that one in life. Congratulations, now go cut in line in front of someone's grandmother. Why, because you've become that guy, so you might as well embrace it and go all in on the douchebaggery.

Wow, what an overreaction. Cut in line in front of someone’s grandmother?! I was discussing Sunday’s opponent which was on topic. Again, good luck Sunday.

Teams wants OC Kafka - Reid had to protect Kafka at KC

I saw this, I was worried about this earlier in the season teams going after Kafka and Wink. Teams nowadays seem to be looking for the young offensive minded coach. Kafka is only 35 years old with one season as OC under his belt. I hope this scares some teams off tbh. I think he is still running Dabolls offense. Winks loss may hurt the Giants more.

The thing is he was a QB himself (Northwestern) and played on 7 NFL teams. He was KC's QB coach since 2018 (he was offense quality control coach in 2017).

He's a guy a lot of people want because of KC/Reid/Mahomes and now Daboll/Jones.
McVay (Rams) is 36 and already won a SB.
I think a lot of teams probably prefer the youngins

Wink's almost 25 years older than Kafka and comfortable with Dabold. This might be his sweet spot. With Kafka it might more when than if.

Kafka will 100% be poached. Let's just hope he's around next year as well but after that I'm sure he'll be hired. It won't even surprise me if he's hired in this cycle. Daboll will find the right guy to step in though.

I was watching a Wink interview and the guy is 100% a Giant legacy spawn. He loved old Giants defenses, and he credits help from a lot of good names (Buddy Ryan, Lou Holtz, Al Davis, Ozzie Newsome). I was reading Parcells really likes Daboll and Giants coaches. Being 59, if Wink wants to be a HC now would be a good time but its rare to see a team of players and coaches jell like the Giants have. People are going up the serendipity ladder all over the place.

Must read article about Daboll hiring and how he innovated interview process to hire other coaches.

“The culture here is so strong and the vibe is so different,” McGaughey said. “The players feel it. They know when the coaches are tight together and they know when the coaches aren’t tight together. I truly think the reason we’ve had the success that we’ve had is because we’re so tight-knit. Guys don’t blink because they like each other. They genuinely like each other and fight for each other. It’s just different. It really is.”

Martindale was playing golf in Florida when Daboll first called about the Giants’ DC job.

“I was going to take a year off to play golf because I had a year left on my contract,” Martindale said...

“They flew me up that night after I did the Zoom,” Martindale said. “I had nothing on but golf gear. I wore golf shoes into the interview. I had no suit and tie — nothing.”

How good does it feel, fellow Giants fans, to finally be back in the playoffs, to have the season extended, to have a chance to play another week, and then, possibly, another and another?

Yeah, yeah, yeah.... The downside is that other "wanting" teams are trying to poach our coaching staff. That hasn't been the case for forever with the Gints, though. A sign we're back and relevant and others want what we have.

It feels real good to finally have complete trust and confidence in the GM/Head Coach again. Now that could all fall apart in 3 or 4 years. But you just get the feeling Daboll and Schoen have a plan, know what they want to do and are completely capable of doing it.

NFL playoffs: Here’s what it’ll take for Giants to beat Vikings and continue magical season

Sound management, coaching, player buy-in, training/practice, motivation, etc. I'm tired of whole the "magical" season angle, as is the Giants organization, I suspect. "Magic" is illusion. This turnaround is very real and a result of professionalism. The future is bright.

Now let's get it done today!

OLine is crushing them and Barkley 2 att. 44yds. 1 TD looks to have fresh legs. Jones throwing lasers 5/5 100 yds. 1TD . So far so go.

14-7

At this rate Jones is going to have a 100 yd. rushing day 9 att. 72yds.

It will be interesting to see the defensive adjustments the Vikings make at halftime.

And if they even matter.
Thinking Minnesota has to hope for a 2nd half shootout to stay in the game.

Hopefully we close out this 1st half strong.

I have never seen a player put less effort into a tackle than Darney Holmes.
