Sad to see one of my all time favorite knick pass away. Oakley, Ewing and Mason down low was a pleasure to watch. Still remember the one handed free throws. Tough day for knick fans from the 90's.

Antony Mason

RIP Mase - I will never forget those Knick teams. Him, along with Oakley and Ewing, is the reason why I'm a Knicks fan. That was a killer and hardnose frontcourt.

RIP. Was a lot of fun to watch. From a story on him: "Vecsey reported that Mason had reached 350 pounds, had been dealing with
heart problems for the past year, and was at a New York-area hospital
undergoing tests when the heart attack occurred, prompting him to be
rushed into surgery."

He could guard Michael Jordan one night and Hakeem Olajuwon the next. A rare breed indeed.

RIP Mase, a physical player. Knicks could use a few Masons now. Thanks for the memories, only 48.

Reminds me of what Rex Ryan's doctor asked to him: How many people you know over 300 pounds and over 50 yo ?

Mixed feelings on this. One of my favorites on the court. He had a very evil side off the court.

RIP. I loved his tenacity. I didn't realize he had ballooned to that weight. Sad.

These former NBA players are really dropping all over the place....at very young ages....50s . They must really be letting themselves go after basketball. Sad.

One of my all-time favorite Knicks. Very sad way too young. That being said he passed away in February.

No need for nonsense in threads like this WTF???

Great memories of Anthony Mason. May he RIP

The last response to this thread was 6 months ago....so you literally had to dig it up and post it again....I can't see this as any other thing than trolling - if it's not then please explain.

Sometime in 2011,someone posted that Boom Boom Geoffrion had died.Since that happened in 2006,I brought that up to the poster.Maybe whoever brought this back is the same poster.

Why did you bump a thread from over 6 months ago?

I honestly don't know. My home computer got a virus and I did a system restore. Could this have brought threads up from past? My I-phone shows the most recent threads but my home computer is living in the past. Any suggestions to fix it are welcome.

There's something wrong with my home computer. I had to do a system restore and for some reason it brought up old threads. I didn't bother looking at the dates. I'll be more careful next time.

On a happier note, Larry Johnson, and Alan Houston were at MSG tonight to witness the NY Liberty beat the Washington Mystics. Move on to next round of playoffs tomorrow(Wednesday). Hopefully our own Epiphanny Prince, and Essence Carson can come up BIG!!!

As a learning experience, don't let yourself go like that. It is a surefire way prescription to die early.

Ouch - the wonderful world of computers....of course the resurrection of this thread seems to have made the natives happy (which is tough to do these days)
