OT. Anyone know if there's a bathhouse or changing area in AC?

Thinking of going to AC Friday for a day trip, and my wife and I were thinking of using the beach in the afternoon, then showering and doing the casino at night.Do any casinos offer that for a fee? I'm not going to spend money for a hotel room on a Friday, and we have to be back that same night anyway.

Don't use the beach in AC, unless you want hobos approaching you in trench coats with nothing underneath. Go to Brigantine instead. That being said, in AC, outdoor public showers are located at the Lifeguard District Stations and the casino Beach Bars have showers available for public access.

Been to the beach/boardwalk in AC, plenty of times, and haven't seen any hobos. And the beach is one of few free ones left in NJ - and there are plenty of public showers.

No problems w ac beaches but the crowd is a little rough around the edges compared to pt pleasant or spring lake. You could also try ventnor the beaches are less crowded and some blocks have outside showers but no place to change. Do what the surfers do keep a gallon jug of water in the car for rinsing and change in the street. Just wrap a towel around yourself as u pull up your shorts

I stay a week for about 30 years, Yes, there are changing areas and showers.
Never saw hobo's, Yes it is free. Plus AC is changing for the good, very quickly,
since the closings of casinos. Construction, remodling, improvements all over
the place. Added securrity all over the place. Just got back from a week stay
and loved it.

I hate posts like this. We've been going to the beach in AC for more than 10 years with the kids when we do our weekend getaways. Have you been there lately? It's no different than any other crowded NJ beach except there is more to distract the kids when they get bored.

Went yesterday, there are no beach showers or changing areas anywhere on the beach in AC. Personally,I think it would be a brain storm for a casino to offer that for a small fee. The chances for those using it to stay and gamble at that casino after, would be pretty high I think. The water was very clean, and the waves are great. Very flat so there is no rough surf break on the beach. Nothing like the neck breaking toss you get at Ocean county beaches like Pt. Pleasant and Seaside Heights and many of the Monmouth County beaches. AC is very much like Wildwood with that long smooth gradual wave action that's so great to body or bogey board surf.
