Nevada plays Colorado State in the Arizona Bowl tomorrow night. Both are Mountain West teams. I know LSU played Alabama in the BCS championship game a few years ago but I can't recall this happening before. It probably has but it seems odd that with so many bowl games there was no way to move these teams around so they could match up against another conference.

The only thing is that they are in opposite divisions in the MWC and didn't play this year, so it's not a repeat game or anything. It would be like if we went to a bowl this year and played Minnesota or Northwestern. They still play them often enough so it's not so great for the fans who might want to see other teams, but the real loser is the conference who now has a guaranteed loss.
