OT: Boeheim involved in fatal car accident

I feel horrible for the Boeheim. He doesn't drink, so it's not an alcohol-related situation. From what I've read and heard it doesn't seem like charges will be filed. Take it for what it's worth, but a friend of mine who is knowledgeable about all things Syracuse said that the man who was killed was standing in the roadway and not on the side, as he himself had just been in an accident and was possibly surveying the damage from the roadway when Boeheim came along. Being involved with something like that will never leave you. I hope it's one of the horrible things for which nobody was at fault, just victims of circumstance and the inherent risk to life.

can this lead to Boeheim retiring after the season?

Bo charges but he still struck and killed someone. Unless that person's family is huge Cuse fans they will probably file a civil suit.

yeah being a Syr fan will stop someone from suing about a death--are you serious??

That’s terrible news. I don’t know why anyone should express anything but regret for this situation which appears to have been an accident.

To wonder whether he will retire as a result is really in poor taste.

Seriously!

The espn scroll is terrible. "Hits and Kills a person" (or something like that)...accurate but so wrong.

How bout "has accident and struck a person who doesn't survive" fracking news people.
(Well shocking that cuse loving espn treated him like that)

Looking for worst and have to wait for real heart breaking story.
