This virus spreads by exposure to droplets and aerosols that contain the virus particles. Anyway that decrease the exposure to these things reduces the spread. It's not a conspiracy.

As stated, they spread it from private residences. one asymptomatic person without a mask indoors spreads it. Had such person social distanced and wore a mask when out, the spread would be far lower. This isn’t hard.

of course I and thousands of others didnt wear masks on the beaches and boardwalks this year and our rates were very low in those months and no confirmed spread at the beaches

Just curious, if a say a study comes out that says masks reduce the spread by 20% would you say it's probably a good idea to wear a mask? Or would you say screw it, it doesn't completely stop the spread so its not worth it.
Yeah, so the virus is present in the community. It took root in the spring. The goal has always been to minimize the spread until we can inoculate enough people to, in essence, eliminate the threat of the virus.
During the summer, people congregated more outside. This was not ideal, but still not likely to spread the virus as much as in locations with poor air circulation. So, an asymptomatic person on the beach and without a mask could still spread this virus, but far less so because the air circulation outside is far,far better than indoors. Take that same asymptomatic person and place them inside with lots of other people. The spread is far, far worse. It’s precisely what experts have warned us about as far back as the summer, and it’s precisely what has happened,
To sum up, the virus is here. It spreads when conditions are best to do so. It’s harder to spread when outside, though still possible. It’s far easier to spread when inside a closed environment,

That's just a false dichotomy. Wearing a mask AND social distancing is obviously the best. Though I would agree that people think that a mask prevents you from spreading the virus or getting the virus. It does not. It's REDUCES the risk. I think that hasn't been communicated very effectively and people feel invincible in a mask.

Bars and indoor restaurants contain people in small enclosed places where people do not wear masks. It's not much different than people meeting with their families and friends at their houses. Which is the reason limits were placed on indoor dining. It seems like the spread wasn't bad in these places probably because the restrictions were in place not despite them.

FALSE! 100% false. In PA they had these requirements. 50% occupancy. 4 people to a table. All 6 feet apart. Go into a restaurant. Bring a tape measure. You can't get to 50% occupancy. In many urban bars/restaurants they couldn't get to 20%. They were the most safe places to be. But you buy the non science bullcrap. Government has destroyed many buisnesses without science. And yet you are ok with it.

You wear it basically out of fear tom... most of us do to an extent... it’s ok to be afraid but not to the extent which these politicians are pushing. The issue is as long as a person is not endangering you or another person the fact he or she doesn’t want to wear a mask is their right of choice.
