Should probably bring the tread back on EV instead of taxes. That’s a black hole and brings unwanted attention
My parents are looking to buy a new CRV. Every dealer has told them...MSRP plus 15%. Take it or leave it.Can’t wait until this ends—

Car dealers are asking thousands above MSRP as shortages linger. These 15 models have the highest markups.
Want a deal on a new car? Consider avoiding the Jeep Wrangler, Ford Maverick, and 13 other models that are selling for thousands above MSRP.www.yahoo.com
Was looking to lease a VW suv for my wife. Their offer was $250/month over her current car. I pointed that out. The salesmen shrugged his shoulders and that was that.My parents are looking to buy a new CRV. Every dealer has told them...MSRP plus 15%. Take it or leave it.
Yea, it's insanity right now. I feel sorry for anyone who HAS to buy or lease right now.Was looking to lease a VW suv for my wife. Their offer was $250/month over her current car. I pointed that out. The salesmen shrugged his shoulders and that was that.
Hey now. I'm a second floor home office dwelling incel, at the moment, dammit. Details matter! 🙂Disagree from my end. If there was somewhere I was disingenuous I'd like to know about it.
But to your point, there are indeed a few basement dwelling incels that take personal offense to the success of others.
I'm in the first floor home office myself.Hey now. I'm a second floor home office dwelling incel, at the moment, dammit. Details matter! 🙂
Oh, and is disagreeing from your end the same as talking out your ass? 😉
Tell them to look at Mazda or Subaru. Two Mazda dealers in Monmouth had no markup over MSPRP, but one in Ocean County was $1500 over MSRP. Heard the same about Subaru. Honda quality is declining. My parents are looking to buy a new CRV. Every dealer has told them...MSRP plus 15%. Take it or leave it.
Agreed that they lyric does indeed look pretty nice.Tell them to look at Mazda or Subaru. Two Mazda dealers in Monmouth had no markup over MSPRP, but one in Ocean County was $1500 over MSRP. Heard the same about Subaru. Honda quality is declining.
Back to EVs--anybody talk to a Cadillac dealer about when the Lyriq will actually be available?
Looks nice.

Very little info available. And very reticent to contact a dealer. Leaving your contact info with a car dealer is like getting a bad case a crabs. The more you scratch, the more they bother you. Still getting calls and texts from 3 weeks ago after asking them to stop calling and texting and that we bought a car already. I have no experience with crabs, but just relating what I have heard about them. 🦀🦀Agreed that they lyric does indeed look pretty nice.
I had a brief encounter with crabs in college. You accurately portrayed the itchy-scratchy thing. 😀Very little info available. And very reticent to contact a dealer. EDIT- while it does not show up when you click the link that is provided. A search revealed this, if it is correct:
"We are currently only accepting reservations for the 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ Debut Edition, which is equipped with Rear-Wheel Drive. Production of the 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ equipped with Performance All-Wheel Drive will begin in late 2022, with availability starting early 2023."
You may like the Hummer EV that does the crab walk?I had a brief encounter with crabs in college. You accurately portrayed the itchy-scratchy thing. 😀
If I had unlimited vehicle funds, I actually might get a Hummer EV just for the sheer stupidity of the thing. It would help bolster my already widespread reputation for overcompensation for my huge number of obvious inferiorities. You may like the Hummer EV that does the crab walk?
I'll take a wild guess that you paid less than 1% of the taxes Musk did from 2014-2018 and created less than 1% of the jobs he did. Your envy is showing.Love it when people defend billionaires like they need your help. LOL. I love that people bring up his $11 billion tax bill in 2021 but doesn’t mention he only paid $455 million between 2014 - 2018. I could’ve retired by now if i can get that tax rate.
Yes, but I paid a higher tax rate than him. I’ve stated that I’m very jealous. I should’ve said I’m “green” with envy. I only wish I had to pay 1% of the $11 billion he paid. That would mean I’m making 9 figures.I'll take a wild guess that you paid less than 1% of the taxes Musk did from 2014-2018 and created less than 1% of the jobs he did. Your envy is showing.
I don't know where the WSJ is getting their #s, but every Wall St consensus I read was 309k. 310k is a beat despite a lot of headwinds. This was an excellent quarter. Everywhere else in the auto industry sales are declining significantly. ICE is dying a slow death.
