The former Santa Fe High basketball 1st team All State player who was ranked by Rivals.com as the #93 overall recruit in the nation for the class of 2021, and future UNM Lobo, JB White was shot and killed last night in Santa Fe. He was at a party in SF and went outside with some punk to fight. The other kid pulled out a gun and shot him point blank.

Santa Fe and the Lobo Nation are devastated.

I stress to my soon-to-be HS Senior always walk away from a possible confrontation and live for another day as every punk has a gun and a total disregard for life.

SO, SO SAD!

Seems shootings, especially of young people, are way up. Local NYC news seems dominated by local violence.
As noted in another thread, would think people would have responded to a pandemic by being more caring and compassionate. The country has gone in the opposite direction.
Is there anything that can bring us together?

If you want honest talk, One side politically in our country has the manufactured anger and are doing 95% of the shootings and stabbings.

If they stop, the problem goes away.

Criminals and murderers are political?
The politicians are allowing this to happen. This isolated case is different as these sadly happen from time to time but all the other violence is an agenda being pushed forward heavily.

KS you are asking questions leading to the answer he gave: it’s obvious.

An 18 year old with a very bright future was senselessly murdered. That's not Red or Blue....it's frikkin' tragic.

It's tragic but common in our cities due to political policies.

If you don't want honest talk it will continue to happen.

You don't see kids carrying handguns to parties in Sussex County, NJ.

You don't see kids killing each other here either.

Agree this is tragic. The other guy answered a specific question about violence being up in NYC. Two different issues.
