OT- How do you get your ice cream home on hot days from grocery store?

What the hell is a private brand?
The local homemade brands that aren't massed produced and are normally sold at a single store where the lines are long and full of families. Or those that are sold at farmers markets. Extremely fresh and usually expensive

Was thinking of starting a thread on if folks put their pants on left leg or right leg first. . . . . .

Only an idiot would put their left leg in first...oh wait...or is it right? I gotta know what others do...want to make sure I am doing it right! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I'm hatching a plan to return a regional flavor from MA via a cooler and dry ice. Given the safety issues of melting CO2 inside a car I am waiting for a trip I take without family so I can open the windows without objection. - Hood Red Sox Green Monster Mint is fantastic. If I survive the effort I'll post back.

90+ trip back from Halo yesterday no problem - ice cream on front passenger floor with AC on floor setting. A little ad hoc duct work and you can make a mini fridge if you have decent AC.

Ben & Jerry's was selected as the best vanilla ice cream on America's Test Kitchen. Breyer's was third or fourth best out of five. I like Breyer's Natural Vanilla - it doesn't leave a gummy coating in your mouth like a lot of others.

Why? Because it's made from corn, is natural and, like sugar, is fine in moderation?

Because corn syrup is terrible for you. But honestly, to each their own. It's one of those things you either care about or not. If you actually want to know why some people avoid corn syrup, there is plenty of info out there, if not that's your choice.

I guess those terrible corn syrup association commercials from a few years back didn't get stamped into your brain like they did mine. Was just joking with the quote.

SNL did a great parody.

B&J's uses non-GMO ingredients, fair trade sugars and other ingredients, eggs from cage free hens and cream from happy cows. I don't know what all of that means but it sounds appetizing. No corn syrup either. Just finished off a pint of Pistachio,Pistachio ! last night
