In any event, the point of that interview link wasn't about him, but his own skepticism about how the Fed Government has handled the drone controversy along with very credible sources also challenging the Feds' public communications. And that's what the threads on this topic have been about. Your side spewing insults at anyone who doesn't buy the Feds' lack of transparency with what its citizens became concerned about. It's at the core of the story--your side wants to downplay any screw-ups by the Government here, and attack anyone that doesn't agree with you. Lame. Our intelligence agencies are not permitted to inform the public of most of what they know about anything. The military has similar constraints over a wide-ranging set of topics. This is an entirely apolitical fact.
Politicians who have security clearances (and thus have access to all kinds of info the public does not have) are likewise constrained. It’s irritating to see politicians, including some who have such access, play politics by pressuring their political opponents for information they know cannot be provided to the public (a disingenuous tactic employed by politicians on both sides a lot in recent decades).
Transparency in government should be about who is paying politicians in quid pro quo situations. Campaign finance, for example. Transparency about national security would be moronic and it’s moronic to expect it. No administration is transparent about NS topics, nor should they be.
