OT:LET'S GO METS

Memo to Addison Reed: With the bases loaded and a 3-2 count - I recommend a fastball...show some b**lls

Memo to David Wright: Please get it together ......since his 1st AB HR - has he done anything?

Nats will win.....hate to say it....

Wright grounds out to end another inning. Too bad, they got bases loaded with 2 outs.

Nats are getting hot at the wrong time for us...........when Den Dekker ties the game - we're in trouble.....not only does this series with Miami scare me - so does the Nats series BIG time....especially with Niese opening up the series......Unfortunately, see my post from 7 minutes ago......on Nats game tonight...damn knew it....

Not sure I'd call them hot right now. They're 6-4 in their last 10 to the Mets 7-3. A bigger concern for me is the way some of the Mets are not stepping up against these teams that have nothing to lose.

Wright is awful.....keep him on bench...have Uribe as starting 3B for rest if season....he comes thru

Thanks Terry. Not only do you bring him in but you keep him in against the right-handed hitting Prado who killed us all night. And has killed us going back to his days with the Braves.

As I have posted SEVERAL times and will continue to do so - Collins will BLOW this pennant race because of his stupidity.

1. O'Flaherty......why does he pitch?....
2. Not having Kelly Johnson play the line...and they lost a game several weeks ago the same exact way when he had Uribe off the base....

There is a reason why Collins has NEVER won..........absolute buffoon

Does TC know that Alvarez is on the team? Absolutely no feel for the bullpen.

I would trade Harvey in the offseason. Hes not signing with the Mets when the contract is up. This may be the time to trade him at his highest peak before his value starts to drop as teams realize time would be running out for the Mets the longer he's still with them.

I would agree, if he's not going to be here long term then he's got to go while you can get a big return for him. But I am vindictive enough to start by shopping him to the worst teams/hitter's parks in the league. How about playing out your contract in Colorado or Cincinnati?

I read the Harvey situation differently.

Scott Boras in the best in the world at what he does, which is to get every last dollar for his clients. He knows that his client is somewhat of an injury risk. He would like nothing better for his client (and himself) than to lock up the big bucks long-term this offseason. Reading between the lines, Boras is telling the Mets, "You are making my client more and more unhappy. If you want to keep him, you'd better come up big... now."

Mets will ignore his rhetoric and bide their time. And properly so.

He fought against the 6 man rotation, was upset when he was pulled early in games, and tried to get the Mets to pitch him last season. Now he's essentially pulling himself out of the playoffs.

I agree with the others to trade him after this season. There is no way the locker room will have any respect for him nor will most Met fans. Let him go to another team where he expects to be paid for a whole season while only giving you part of one.

I read that Ken Rosenthal reported that 3 separate GMs stated that Dr. Andrews only gives aspirational numbers and never mentions a hard cap.

Matt brought a sense of winning and pride back to the organization. Today, I'm absolutely embarrassed for him and feel terrible for the guys in that dug out.

This will follow him his entire career, like it does Strasburg.

And Big Bart keeps rolling along! Up to 23 consecutive scoreless... and counting. 84 pitches through seven and he'll be back out there for the eighth.

Amazing behind the back play by Colon .....on the Harvey topic , caught the Braves game and they were killing Harvey ,ny post killed Harvey. Not a good situation to have fighting for a division title

Was going to say the same thing as SAE. Only thing I disagree is that to trade him to a team where he thinks he's goin to get paid. Trade him to wherever the Mets think they would get equal value (give me some ideas as I'm blank for some reason lol).

Today, Matt Harvey looks like a fraud. As SAE said, he complained about the 6 man rotation, being taken out "early" even when he knew about the 180 inning limit all this time. As much as i get on Alderson and Collins, they did everything in their power to work with Harvey and THIS comes out today?

I would make Harvey the 7th inning guy for the rest of the year (to save the innings) and if they make the playoffs, have Bartolo Colon be the third starter behind deGrom and Syndergaard/Matz/Niese. At least Colon is the only pitcher on the rotation with playoff experience. And unlike Harvey, Colon has been THE professional pitcher this season.

Boras wants to save Harvey for the yankees and the $300M contract they will throw at him.

Get this guy outta here and sign Cespedes. The Mets have a deep starting rotation.

The hell with Harvey.......selfish bastard..........Should the Mets make the playoffs - deactivate him and go with guys who want to win.....Matz; Thor; Degrom; Niese and as the poster above said - the ultimate Pro who all should be aspire to be - Bartolo Colon.

Put Harvey in the pen for the rest of the year. Too damn bad if it takes him a long time to warm up. He's getting paid he should damn well earn it. That way we won't pass his innings cap. Then trade his ass for a top notch shortstop.

WTG Bartolo. A 42 year-old pitching his heart out to help his team in the playoffs. Take notes Harvey.

The Cubs and Sox have the best young position players in baseball. You'll get the best deal From either of those organizations. Although, Artie Mareno really wants to win and the Angels may be willing to significantly overpay.

Mets; Boras and Harvey will work it all out......Harvey has 3-4 remaining starts in season......with 10 days rest and will start 1 game per playoff round should we make it.....

Harvey for Mike Trout? One can dream.

The vast majority of baseball fans and sports writers are killing him on the internet. He's gone from the Dark Knight, to the Two Faced (Matt) Harvey Dent.

Lupica just wrote a good article with Sandy quoted. He said this was recently orchestrated by Boras. It was the Mets who have been concerned about pitch limits and that Boras didn't say a word until now. That James Andrews doesn't agree with Boras but wont take it public. The best thing he said was that this decision will be Matt's. He's a grown man and the Mets won't bail him out. If he's willing to turn his back on the season, then he will face the criticism alone.

I couldn't stand Alderson a couple of weeks ago. Today, however, I have more respect for him. It sounds like all the double speak is at an end and he's going to be honest with the fan base, at least until the start of free agency.:)

Innings limits and pitch counts don't really work. He should fix his mechanics (what got him hurt in the first place) and go from there.
