OT:LET'S GO METS

Just glad he didn't get drilled in the face. Inability to bunt by any player I root for is a long-time pet peeve.

Has anyone ever hit home runs in 5 straight playoff games before?

Carlos Beltran with Houston in '04. It got him a big contract with the Mets. Btw, why in the hell would you pitch to Murphy right now? Even if the bases are loaded I would walk him. I rather give up 1 run instead of 4. Every pitch is a beach ball to Murphy.

This is why playoff baseball is so great! Who would have thought Murphy would have been the power source???

Madden seems intent on burning his bullpen tonight. I guess that's what you do down 2-0, but the odds that he won't need them tomorrow seem pretty low.

BTW, Wright is now batting .300 in the NLCS, with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Small sample size, of course.

Cespedes steals 3rd - 4th steal of 3rd by the Mets in this series, which is very odd. They must have seen something.

Of course no common sense rule they've used before. Gather the umps for one second possibly when I've suffered for 3 decades with this team?????

I'm trying to think of the last time that an umpire waved a runner home on any ground rule double, even if the runner already was on 2nd at the time the ball landed. It's pretty annoying, but it's what they do.

Wow, I wonder if that could have been an inside the park homerun.

I also think a ball that rolls all the way to the wall before getting lost in the ivy should allow the runner on first to score, especially when there are two outs since the runner is going on contact and would have scored anyway.

The umpires should be given some latitude to make a proper judgment on that.

a ground rule double is ALWAYS 2 bases regardless...the only time judgement is involved is if it is fan interference

I think every Met fan is kinda pulling for Wright. Facts were the facts. He can go Murph for all I care. Me wants a ring!!
