He's another one who went the route of PRP injections - it seems that that is not a solution elbow, shoulder and knee damage for professional athletes.
Tanaka is the only pitcher I know that took the rehab route vs surgery and has played well for the next few seasons.
There are just some humans that you just cant compare other humans to. LT was one of those...others on that type of list would have to include guys like Bo Jackson, Jim Brown, OJ, Lebron and I put Mantle in that class as well. You can't even try to compare them to anyone else physically

If I'm Hal Steinbrenner, that would end. I'd put that Dude on a regiment of light yoga and take my chances from there.
Best RBI guy of all catchers in the MLB. His defense did improve last year, and has a great arm throwing out runner.. Needs to stay healthy.

The good news is you really don’t need to worry about Cole, he just needs to get work in. He will have a very good year regardless if he has a bad spring outing...

Judge very frustrated they can't find an issue for his pain. That isn't a good sign at all. And no he isn't soft. Desperately wants to play Opening Day but they have yet to figure out the cause.

This is starting to look like a season for Judge where he's could miss significant time.
None of likely prevents the team from making the playoffs, but it sure as hell could result in losing home field in the ALCS.
I won't go that far. Boston will have a down year. Astros can't cheat anymore and are going to be soundly hated in every ballpark. Have no idea how they respond but without cheating I don't see any late inning comebacks of them at home anymore and their pitching staff is less than solid.
I remember so many sports talking heads killing Jay Cutler "for taking himself out of a playoff game" only to have to eat dogshit a few hours later as they learned he was benched by the medical staff for a torn MCL.
Anyway some good news for the Yankees. Paxton stated everything is going "really well" and will start playing catch this weekend.
I got to give Pax and medical science some serious credit on his progress. Under the knife with a back issue and coming back this quickly is very impressive.
Very true, and yes,no doubt he'll work his butt off to get back,just busting.That said, some players start a pattern very early in their careers about never being able to play a full season, and I don't think he'll ever be confused with the "Iron Horse":Baseball:

2018: Missed 50 games due to a fractured right wrist
2019: Missed 54 games due to a strained left oblique
2020: Has a stress fracture in his rib and will miss at least several weeks

I just heard on the FAN Judge has a broken rib. And the A-hole announcers are talking about if he has the rib removed he can be out a year.

New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge has a broken rib and it's not clear whether he will need surgery.
The setback leaves in doubt when he'll be back in the lineup. Manager Aaron Boone made the announcement at spring training.
He said he thought the star right fielder hurt himself making a diving catch late last season.

I wanna know how in hell it went from a mystery to a broken rib? Somehow- that just seems crazy
I'm not buying this whole broken rib from last October story. How does a rib not heal in five months? Something more going on here...
Actually not uncommon at all. It never healed correctly but becomes painless. Than activity reveals that it isn't good.
Judge is brittle unfortunately. Great talent, great attitude, bad bone density. Hit on wrist- broken bone. Runs into a wall- broken bone. And very , very slow in recovery.
Tough decision for the Yanks when his contract is up. Great guy, great talent, fans love him ..... but as brittle as a thin piece of glass.
