6:30 PM RU @ MD
7:30PM Devils (DVR and watching at 845PM)
that lineup did zap some of my excitement.
Trade needs to happen yesterday.
Never go with the team on the back to back. Especially when they are playing a well rested team who is healthier than they have been in a while and are desperate!Big $ on the Avs tonight
I can’t understand how this happens in pro hockey unless it’s a fluke play. From the days when I was a Mite my coach preached never let a team score in the first two minutes of a period…last two minutes of period…or within two minutes of scoring or allowing a goal. And just like that we’re tied…2 goals in 20 seconds.

He did not look happy on the Marino goal or at the end of the game.Mac kinnon played 24+ minutes on a back to back. Did colorado need to win this game that bad?
So $10 is big money? Come on Proud!! You are making things up as you go along.I was talking about the ML and PL odds moving a lot yesterday. Big $ was coming in on the Avs.
I only put $10 on them to win.

First of all, I wear progressives, not bi-focals! Secondly, I would venture a guess that I have been betting sports, since before you were born!Read my post again, it looks like you haven’t put on your bi-focals yet.
Or you don’t understand how sports betting works.
To clarify, I placed a small bet. I’m glad I lost tbhFirst of all, I wear progressives, not bi-focals! Secondly, I would venture a guess that I have been betting sports, since before you were born!
No disrespect, I am glad as well that you lost!To clarify, I placed a small bet. I’m glad I lost tbh
The ML and PL odds moved a lot yesterday due to lots of bets being placed on Colorado.
Really good win for the Devils.
Why not just "never let a team score"?I can’t understand how this happens in pro hockey unless it’s a fluke play. Nit picking a little, cause I agree with most of your post, but there is more to being a good PP d-man then just a big shot.Had 'em all the way last night. I thought the stretch between the midway point of the 1st and the end of the 2nd was the best 30 minute stretch of hockey they've played in a long time. You knew COL would push in the 3rd, but I didn't expect them to come out shooting 17-2 before Marino bailed NJ out. While they gave up another 1st goal (35th time in 48 games) and surrendered 2 inside of 30 seconds (happens WAY too much with this team), there were a lot of positives last night.
-The fancy stats don't show it, but Vanecek was big last night. He made several crucial stops and despite giving up that softie to Girard, made the game-saver on MacKinnon late.
-Luke did an outstanding job on MacKinnon all night
-Miller needs to shoot more and should be on PP1 (105 mph!)
-Bratt and Hischier were everywhere last night
50/50 night out of town:
CAR lost to VAN
WSH lost to MTL
PHI beat FLA
PIT beat WPG
Hopefully no 3-point game between TB and NYR tonight.
Onto CGY, where they'll get a visit from old friends Coleman and Sharangovich. Hopefully Jack and Toffoli are ready to go.
For sure. For the most part, I've liked Miller's play this year and he has arguably been their most steady defensive defenseman. I think depending on the matchup, setting up that heavy shot with a screen in front could've helped spark the PP - now 0 for their last 17 and something like 2 for their last 33. Obviously, Jack coming back should help fix that anyway.Nit picking a little, cause I agree with most of your post, but there is more to being a good PP d-man then just a big shot.

My solution is replacing Ondrej Palat with Jack HughesFor sure. For the most part, I've liked Miller's play this year and he has arguably been their most steady defensive defenseman. Okay, but be careful. The quest for easy money is easily addictive!I was talking about the ML and PL odds moving a lot yesterday. Big $ was coming in on the Avs.

Since sports betting has been legalized in NJ, the number of people going for help has tripled.
It's because they trailed. Colorado is a very good team, but IMO they're good because they have 2 of the leagues best 4 or 5 players and they ride them when need to.Mac kinnon played 24+ minutes on a back to back. Did colorado need to win this game that bad?
I get it, but are thos 1 or 2 points that important to play him 24+ on the 2nd game of a back to back? It's because they trailed. Colorado is a very good team, but IMO they're good because they have 2 of the leagues best 4 or 5 players and they ride them when need to.
It looks like the West may actully be better than the East this year...especially if we are looking at the top 14 teams.
Mac is a dam horse . 5+ of those minutes were on the PPI get it, but are thos 1 or 2 points that important to play him 24+ on the 2nd game of a back to back?
That should be one of those side bet things at every Super Bowl party.@Proud NJ Sports Fan
