OT: OFFICIAL - Make Fun of the Mets/Yanks Thread - 2018 Season

Lol. Got nothing else so you dust off old insults that aren't even pertinent anymore. Yanks Payroll $169 mil......Mutts payroll $159 mil. Yanks with a bunch of budding superstars locked up for years and with a top minor league system. Mutts searching for a catcher and a clue.
Wow, yes I know where their at payroll wise, just funny how it used to be,"don't you wish your owners spent that"?Very protective now that your not at or near the top.. You will be by the summer when you need that extra, and my statement will be true.

And it must kill Mets fans. If the Phillies and the Braves are as improved as they seem to be it's gonna be another long year for the Amazins
The Braves are improved from an offensive standpoint but their starting pitching is an absolute joke. Their "ace," Julio Teheran, was throwing 86 mph fastballs on Friday night and they really don't have any other consistent starters. Their bullpen is also bad. I would take the Phillies more seriously mainly because they now have an actual ace in Arrieta.

Obviously, don't make the mistake of counting out Washington. They've had 3 major injuries (Murphy, Rendon, Eaton) and a ton of bad luck so far. They're way too talented to keep losing like this, especially when they're back at full strength. The Mets definitely will not have an easy road to a division title.

Wait, I thought the NL East sucks? Can't have it both ways.
it appears to suck less than last year.
But I wouldn't get too excited by the Mets this season.
There's a reason no one is claiming anymore that they have five 20-game winners in their rotation.
And that Mets fans are no longer worried that the Yankees are gonna steal away Matt Harvey.

Harvey is a cancer, and should be let go, but the Mets have no leadership willing to pay someone for nothing. It's easy being a Yankee fan, you've been spoiled by owners that will do anything to win. This is why, speaking for myself, and I'm sure most Mets fans, we tend to go over the top when our team has success.

And it looks like us Mets fans are about to get hit in the face by a bus. Unfortunate but not surprised.

He will be back in the rotation soon! :)

How's that working out for you ?
Never good form if your laughing about the deGrom injury. Karma is a powerful weapon, and the Yankees are miles away from avoiding the 'epic fail". I know having a better record than the Mets gets your jollies up, but it's hardly the bar being set high, lol.

Dude, from 10-2 to the season being over in what, 3 weeks? I almost feel bad for Mets fans.....almost.

Let me clue you in, I was correcting your glaring innacuracy and stupidity.

Further, most Yankee fans only care about winning and not the payroll. Having young core guys on smaller controllable contracts is a great bonus........knowing that the team will be great for years to come. Most Mets fans on the other hand seemed to be obsessed with the Yankees payroll. That's the difference between a winning mentality and a losing one.

I'm not laughing at the deGrom injury. I'm laughing at the Mets fans who were celebrating a World Series win in early April...when it was clear to everybody else that they had a ton of weaknesses. It's a long season. Perhaps the Mets will right the ship. Perhaps Harvey will find the fountain of youth. And Reyes as well. And David Wright will return and lead the Mets to the promised land.
But I'm betting the Nationals win the N: East....and that no other team from that division makes the playoffs.
We'll see. As I said...it's a long season.

Not a good day for the JV team! The Dark Knight spit the bit, again, and his replacement is even worse!

So I'm confused, one minute your crowing about this team "only" has the 7th highest payroll, and in the next breath your stating Yankee fans don't care how much they spend and hate that even enters the conversation.Buy summer when they spend like drunken sailors for the pieces they need, we'll see how far off the top spending payrolls they are, but I forgot, you don't care except for when it suits your argument.

I couldn't resist and went to the Mets thread to gloat. They cried and my ability to post in that thread was taken away.
It was worth it though.
Another one crying when in fact he's not banned. I guess you d-bags wear that as some sort of badge of honor.

I said that my ability to post in the Mets thread was taken away. It has.
And I'm fine with that. I knew the risk. I just couldn't resist. It was worth it. It's been a great week for Yankees fans. Not so much for Mets fans.
I love it.

Apparently reading comprehension is not your thing. I dont care how much the Yankees spend, however I do enjoy correcting and making fun of Mets dullards who are obsessed about how much the Yankees spend.

Agree, I got banned from their little safe space without breaking a single site rule. Complete joke. Anyway, the Mets got completely exposed this week. Love watching them fail!
I'm guessing you guys are even bigger dicks than I thought. Mets fans don't usually get banned because they have a little, very little class at times, lol, but it seems way more than you guys!!!!

I like how you call us "dicks" and then go on to talk about having class. LOL. Tough times in Flushing.

Yes, Mets fans are known for their class. They gave standing ovations to Jose Reyes and Jeurys Familia after their respective returns from suspensions for domestic violence. Nice!

You have a statue in front of your stadium of a druggy murderer I wouldn't talk.

i stopped in to make fun of the mets, but then i realized i don't know enough about them. i know they play baseball in NY in the NL, but don't care much beyond that. a perk of being a yankees fan

go yanks! maybe sanschnoz will even catch all critical pitches today!

The best team in the NL East, Washington, has gained 4.5 games on the Mets in 6 days despite almost half their lineup being on the DL. Remarkable.

After tomorrow the Mets head to Cincinnati. If they can't beat that team...they're done.
Mets already done unless they get some players that they cant afford because they have no prospects good enough to come up and take over for Reyes, Lobaton, Gonzalez. They are in worse trouble than I thought if Rosario, Nido, Smith Cecchini were supposed to be THOSE younglings that compares to Acuna, Andujar, Torres, anyone else from the Braves.

Mets farm system is ranked second to last in MLB. Only the Royals are worse, but they have a recent championship:

Atlanta is #1 and the Yanks are #3.
